Remarks

Jee mains is the entrance examination for any NIT, score good in jee mains to get cse in nit jsr. After getting the result of JEE Mains apply through JOSAA counciling to get addmissions in these colleges. Reservations: category reservation along with PWD and home state. There will be 2 exams per semester one mid sem and one end sem.

I choose cse branch because it creates great placement opportunities for the future. Also, I have a keen interest in this course. There is a good number of highly qualified faculty members. There are only two exams per semester.

Internships Opportunities

Very high tech profile companies visit campus for internships to 3rd years and even to 2md years students. These companies offer almost all the roles to the students. They are also given a good stipend amount.

Placement Experience

From 4th year companies visit the campus for placements. And 3rd year students are given internship In cse the percentage of placement was 100% and for whole btech batch it was 96%>. Highest pakage offered was of 72.5lpa and average was of 14.58lpa. Which is really very high.

Fees and Financial Aid

As government college fees aren't that high. Compared to other engineering colleges. Also, loans and scholarships are very easily available. And fee remission programs are there for economically challenged students.

Campus Life

Culrav is the annual fest that takes place in February and Ojas is the annual tech fest that takes place in March. Here at NIT Jamshedpur, you will get a good library with a very high number of books. Also, the library is equipped with wifi so you can use this also. There are basically clubs for everything.

Hostel Facilities

24/7 electricity with lan in each room. Freshers are given double occupancy rooms, and from 2nd year onwards students are given single rooms with a balcony sounds cool right!!. The hostel is compulsory for every student

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
