Remarks
The college management is not very great but at times helpful. Every year efforts are being done to improve the campus life and to maintain a balance between education and social life. Students are motivated to bring forward their best with full enthusiasm and participation.
Entrance Preview
AIEEE or as we now call it JEE Mains is the examination through which you can get admission in this college. I didn't score well in Jee Mains but because of my 12th percentage(81%) I got admission in Dronacharya. Every second person I talked to, who studied in the nearby college or was studying here referred to it.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum followed is set by the M.D university itself which keeps getting updated with time. In I.T and computers departments, where technology is changing at a very rapid pace, it is made sure students are able to cope with latest technologies as well through seminars and extra classes only for the benefit of students.
Internships Opportunities
The college does not provide any Internship but in the pre-final and final year a lot of companies visit the college either with Internship opportunities or full time job.
Placement Experience
For the I.T and Computers Department the placement is nearly 95-100 % but the same cannot be said about the other departments. With an average package of around 3 lacks/year, students grab opportunities to work with companies such as Capegemini, H.P, Samsung etc which is fairly good.
College Events
1. Freshers Day 2. Sports Week ( twice per year) 3. DronTech 4. Dronspark 5. Farewell. These events takes place annually at the college level and sometimes there are also some departmental events. DronTech is the annual Technical Fest where students from other college are also invited to participate which also involves fun activities like lan gaming. The sports week is held at the college level where different departments compete against one another. DronSpark is managed by the IEEE students body which is more of cultural fest for students to enjoy and rejuvenate themselves.
Fee Structure And Facilities
As compared to all the private college in India, the fee structure is average and feasible but for the poor it is a little expensive. Although students loan is available and for the SC/ST and OBC's there is a slight rebate in the Tuition fee. Also the University examination fee is separate from the college fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
A brilliant student can get full scholarship for his/her studies and also there is maximum support for poor students as well. There are different scholarships which are provided by the university itself and are granted to university toppers each semester.
Campus Life
Campus life is good, you would never get bored especially in the I.T department. The gender ratio in all departments except civil and mechanical is balanced. Most of the students are from Delhi-NCR region although there are also students from other regions and states. Also extracurricular activities are supported by the colleges and students are given opportunities to participate in other colleges too.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel has been provided with maximum facilities and the mess food is appreciable. Although because of lack of space and strength of the hostel students, the hostel activity is low, but most of the facilities are available from the college side. The boys hostel is near the college campus where as the girls hostel is situated in Gurgaon Sec-5 keeping in mind the security reasons
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is fairly managed and senior students keep visiting the college for sharing their valuable experiences. In the I.T department, there are special sessions by the pass out students which are really helpful and can narrow down your approach towards the field in which you want to work.
Exam Structure
Exam structure is purely based with accordance to M.D University. There are 8 semesters and till the 7th semester you have atleast 5 theory subjects and 3 laboratory work. The 8th semester is for training and for preparing for jobs/interviews. 1 theory subject consists of 150 marks (100 external + 50 internal). The college takes internal exams for giving internals) . For passing you need atleast 60/150. Although you have to get more than 40 for passing in external written theory exam.
Admission
The admission process is strictly based on marks and percentage criteria and now a days it has become even more competitive to get admission here. Different cutoffs are set up for different departments(Mech, Civil etc) and for the I.T and CSE branch the cutoff being the maximum.
Faculty
The Faculty of the college and especially (I.T Department) is near excellent and very supportive. Most of the faculty is working hard, some even work more than the students themselves so that the best can be given to the college students. With fairly good experience, most of the professors are post graduates themselves.
