Remarks

The eligibility of the course is 45% on the 12th and 10th. The application can be found on the official website of the college. There are no reservation benefits. No, I don't want to see any improvement in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I choose this course because my father is a mechanical engineer and I also wanted to become the same. The ratio is 20:1 the student is to faculty. The teachers are from reputed colleges like IIT Or have a teaching experience of over 10 years. The exams are always conducted timely as it is a university. If a student attends classes regularly he/she can score 8 cgpa easily.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

There is a lot of internship probability as the college provides 1000 summer internships and machine learning and CNC, CATIA, lathe, sky rider automobile internship, and ar/VR internship, and many others for providing hands-on experience. The stipend is provided mainly if one does some research and development internship. The projects we worked on are electric bikes, face recognition using python, web development, making Android apps, 3d printing projects, chalk making, and pen making using waste material.

Placement Experience

3

The students are eligible from the 6th sem for campus placement. The placement is mainly in the case department. TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant, tata power, L&T, ESL STEEL, Astral pipes, Capgemini, JSW, Victoria tools, KSH, Hexaware, Dassault, Mindtree, by us. The highest package is 12 lakhs and the lowest is 4 lakhs. The percentage of cse students is almost 80 percent and for other departments, I can say is 50-60%. I plan to work for an IT company after getting my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

During the covid, the hostel fees rose from 65000 to 84000 but the academic fee remained same. There is a scholarship program for students based on their 12th marks on academic fees from 10 thousand to 30 thousand.

Campus Life

3

There are 2-3 fests organized each year. Gajajoti is organized in March and the centurion expo in April. Yes, there are books and journals with A/C and 24 hrs open time. The classes are well maintained and the teachers are punctual and very professional. There are basketball courts a football field and a tennis court and a lot of indoor sports facilities and inter-college competitions are also organized. Some of the clubs are waste of wealth, animal welfare clubs, since clubs, sports clubs, etc.

Hostel Facilities

3

The faculty is moderate and strict with rules like no smoking no alcohol. The best part is no ragging. There is a warden in every building for assistance. The meal is not very Appetising but it is hygienic. Yes, we have a food menu in which 3 days a week we are provided nonveg and other days we have veg and we have both options for food like veg and nonveg. There are 2 cafeterias and 3 fast-food restaurants and a bakery. The registration of the hostel is very simple and can be done at the same time as admission. The hostel was affordable until now but the fees have risen. The locality is nice and the main market is very near. The locality also has PG.

Siksha 'O' Anusandhan University - [SOA], Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Jan 9, 2026(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Gandhi Engineering College (GEC Autonomous), Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
Reviewed on Dec 22, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.
