IIT Madras Review

IIT Madras is India's best engineering college. IIT Madras has been ranked first in India as the best engineering college since 2016. I received good marks on my GATE exam and applied for admission to IIT Madras via COAP counselling. I clearly don't apply for any scholarships. I chose IIT Madras because the college is the best in engineering, the placement is excellent, and the education levels are very high.

The college curriculum is up to date and follows all types of corporate developments, and the curriculum helps us to keep abreast of the latest industrial modifications, in short, it retains us up to date. The college faculty consists of PhD holders with extensive industrial experience. The faculty is the one who assists us at every stage of the placement. The faculty's teaching methods are an excellent and appropriate combination of traditional and modern techniques.

The internship is required, and we are eligible for it after finishing the first year of our programme. We are only eligible for an internship if we attend 90% of our classes. Around 35+ industries visit our campus for the internship programme, and in order to participate, we must sign up for the placement committee. The average internship stipend is around Rs. 1 lakh.

The college's placement quality cannot be questioned. Because the institution is the best engineering college in India, the university placement is also up to par. The college has a track record of 100% selection. The college's highest placement offer is 70 LPA, and the median wage placement is 20 LPA. Among the top college recruiters are Qualcomm, Microsoft, Honeywell, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj Auto, JP Morgan, and American Express.

The scholarship is available on the basis of merit and financial need through schemes like Institute Merit-cum-Means Scholarships, Institute Free Studentship, Institute Notional Prize, SC/ST Scholarship.

The campus is culturally diverse, and we have the opportunity to learn from people from all over the world. The college environment is conducive to learning and research. Sarang is the college's annual fest, and Shastra is the technological fest where we can get to show off our innovative ideas. The library is among the largest in the country, with many books from all over the world by various authors and writers. The college library also has international research journals. The research facilities are modern and outfitted with a wide range of research tools. The college's infrastructure is in good condition.

IIT Madras has a total of 19 hostels, 4 of which are for girls and 15 for boys. The IIT Madras hostel is known as India's most luxurious hostel. The hostel provides free WiFi 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The food at the hostel is excellent, and the menu is extensive. The rooms are available in both double and single occupancy. The hostel's discipline is excellent. The wardens at the hostel are extremely professional. There are also sports facilities. Holi, Pongal, Onam, Diwali, and New Year's Eve are also celebrated at the hostel.
