My course is Metallurgy and material engineering and I choose this course because I want to do a job in TATA stell. Faculty members are averages. It is NIT so they have well-educated faculty members. They have tremendous knowledge but share very little. But all faculty members are not like that, some are very good and helpful. They help students with their doubts. We give exams twice each semester and some quizzes regularly

In core branch companies like Tata, Maruti, etc provide internships for us. The internship facility is good, and most of the students get selected by software companies like Amazon, UHG, Health Care, Goldman Sachs, etc.

From the seventh semester we are eligible for campus placement as companies start visiting and in 5th semester many students are given opportunities for placements that are good here for both core and noncore branches. The top recruiting companies of our college are Optum, OnePlus, Samsung R&D, Alstom Transport, Tata Steel, Tata Power, ZS Associates, EXL, Capgemini, L&T, Lumencie, etc. In Metallurgy highest package offered was 16 lakhs and 80 percent were placed and some went for gate or MTech.I plan to crack the gate exam

The cost of study in this college is around 7.8 lakhs for the whole 4 years, but they give scholarships on which category you belong and your parent's income should be less than 5 lakhs per annum. If you belong to the obc, sc, st category and your family income is less than 1 lakh you will get a 100 percent scholarship on tuition fees and if your income is less than 2.5 lakhs you will get a 67 percent scholarship on your tuition fees and some scholarship are also given by the government that is post matric.

Culfest is conducted by Nit Jamshedpur each year. Many events and fests are organized each year. The campus crowd is very nice. There are many technical and non-technical clubs, from plane modeling to drama and drawings, there's a club for everyone's passion.The sports culture is also good they conduct sports competitions each year. Clubs like coding photography meme environmental etc all are run by college seniors
