GRIET college life.

Eligibility of the course is a student must be completing 12th or equivalent and must appear for the state entrance exam of engineering colleges. In Telangana the exam is EAMCET. I have secured a rank and after that I have filled many colleges and courses while counselling rounds. I have got B.Tech CSE in GRIET.

The faculty is to student ratio is 1:65 but there are student mentors one each for 30 students. Faculty are well qualified and the teaching methods are also good that a student can easily understand if he/she listens to classes carefully. Also, the exams are very easy to pass and there are 2 mids for a sem.

Our college and other companies like INTERNSHALA provide internships to students. The college has some main student bodies like AAC a student body that encourages students to make projects and make research papers. There are also many other technical student bodies like IEEE, CSI and E-cell.

A student is eligible for campus placements after 3rd year and most of the students get paid internships in their third and fourth years. Also, some students prefer Higher studies abroad over placements. Some of the students appear for exams like GATE, GRE, IELTS, TOEFEL and other exams. Coming to the placements almost every student gets placed in one or the other companies across India. The companies also provide internship opportunities while studying.

The cost to study is 120000 per year. The fees are not hiked every year. I have availed scholarship from the Telangana government and also there are other private scholarships that a student can avail themselves. There are some miscellaneous fees such as the library and other fees which is non-refundable we have to pay once in four years

The library is very vast and there is also a digital library in our college. But the library strictly follows timings as a student is not allowed to go to the library while classes are going on. Sports and extracurricular activities are also there but the student participation is very less in them. Also, every classroom is neat and well furnished. Fests like Pragnya and Pulse are some technical and non-technical events that happen once a year.

Our campus doesn't have an in-campus hostel for boys as well as for girls, but there is an integrated girls hostel near the college. And most of the people who are non-local rent a PG near the JNTU college premises. Almost every residential student rents or shares a room in that locality.
