Remarks

Education must be given the first priority but sometimes it is seen politics to be over dominant science department is famous but not any of the other departments sports are not encouraged as much as it should be.

Entrance Preview

While getting admission, I got no difficulty as it was very fair process but there were back stairs influences to apart from this during my 3 year course I noticed the teachers and other staffs were very supportive.

Internships Opportunities

I am working right now at the University of Kalyani as laboratory assistant.

Placement Experience

Though I got a job but I must say that this facility is quite poor.

College Events

Best festival, saraswati Puja, Social functions fests are held in college.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Affordable very much though I am a local student.

Campus Life

Campus life is awesome but there are very much influence of political parties not so much gender and religious problem compared to other.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very much dominating though they are helpful but sometimes some of them are just unbearable.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Iacs gives early access to hands on research for students right from day 1, thats what inspired me to join this uni. the curriculum as i said is at par with other renowned basic sciences colleges in india, so it is pretty modern and relevant. exams might seem a bit overwhelming at the beginning, but it will ease out eventually

Coochbehar College Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

B.Sc Computer Science Faculty: Student ratio is = 4:23 may vary a bit Faculty are well Qualified & Teaching method is okay good, but not to the mark like very good or excellent. The exam term was timely (sometimes it gets a bit late due to some natural disaster like cyclone, heavy rainfall, etc or any govt. & university delays), and the exam level is nearly too difficult, something like in between moderate to difficult.

The semester exams always took place on time time each year and exam dates were given in the notice board. The question difficulty level was quite easy The teachers are qualified to the requirements of eligibility. I chose this course since i have interest in computer science subject.

Admission:

I applied for my course available in this college via online mode. As everything was depended upon merit, we didn't have any entrance exam or interviews. I got my name there in the merit list. I had my interest in maths thus I got admission.

Admission:

I had filled all the forms online. They create an account for you where you get all your admission information. As I had 89% marks, I do not had to give entrance exam and interview. The admission was quite easy for me. I just had to visit the college once and submit the demand draft and some forms, after which the admission was done. I just had to go to the university and attend classes.
