Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In classes 11-12, I have History and I love reading ancient history. In future, I want to be a historian. So I have decided to study history. we have a total of 81 students in our history department. Within this 44 seats are Unreserved, for SC 18 seats, for ST 5 seats, for OBC A 8, for OBC B-6 are reserved. We have a total of 8 faculties in our English department. So our student-faculty ratio is almost 10 students per faculty. Most of our professors are completed PhD whereas some faculties have completed MPhil. So they are highly qualified and experienced in their subject. While taking regular classes they used to give us notes, gives an important suggestion, discussing many topics outside of syllabus. We were the first batch of cbcs system. So we had to give 6 semester to pass

Fees and Financial Aid

Studying here is affordable for everyone. If a candidate wants to take admission in History Hons the admission fee is Rs 1600. And then for the 2nd year and 3rd year fee is near about Rs 1500. We had to give a fee every odd semester like 1st,3rd and 5th semester. We did not have to pay any extra fees. So the total cost is below Rs 5000. Multiple scholarships are available for students. Boys can apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Scholarships, Girls can apply for Kanyashree. Moreover, for minority students, yearly stipends are given. They have to apply for OASIS. Some students even apply for private scholarships too.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is very much fun in our college. There are a lot of fests and cultural programs are organized by seniors and student unions. Many students from different departments join those programs. Recitation and singing and dancing are the main attraction of cultural programs. We have a library room in our college. Students can borrow books for up to 60 days. We have dedicated room for studies. Our classrooms are clean and airy. We have an auditorium room for seminars and programs. We have a laboratory room, a computer room and many more. Our college is situated right after the main road. Our student union group organize annual sports programs yearly.

From the point of view of improvements, I feel that digital classes can be conducted in the class by leaving the theory classes. Mere collage The exam level is basically hard and exams are conducted twice a year.

I have always wanted to persue English as a career. I love studying English but not a big fan of the new curriculum by NEP that includes a lot pf irrelevant papers. The semesters are not consistent. Odd semesters usually have a lot of time like 6-8 months but even semesters barely consist of 2-3 months.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.
