Remarks

The admission was based on class 12th marks. If you scored between 75% to 80%, it won't be an issue to get in. There's a PI round but it's more like a counselling session than an actual selection interview. Once your application is selected, usually that's it. People from any stream can join this particular course. All the details like the application form, application fees, and application dates can be found on the official college website. The admission process used to be a bit lengthier at my time but things changed a bit after the Covid situation. The admission process is easy and you'll get all the necessary guidance from the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have always been interested in journalism, so that explains why I chose the course. And, Banasthali has got a very good reputation as a university. However, Journalism is a relatively new course and has been introduced only a few years ago. But, the infrastructure and facilities are very good. The faculty are helpful and friendly. Exams aren't too tough. It's a mix of both theory and practicals. There are seminars and workshops from time to time in addition to the educational tours. Exams are always on time, no matter what. Even in the times of Covid, we never got any delay. The methods of examination changed very quickly and everything was on time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee was around 4.5 lakhs for the full 3 years. I think it's fine considering the facilities we get like a TV studio, cameras, PCs, radio studio, etc. It included tuition fees, hostel fees, mess, and everything. You can get a scholarship on basis of your financial status. There are no campus jobs and you also can't go outside for the same. You can apply for a remote job if you can manage the schedule.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is one of the best you can have. Moreover, it is a very unique experience. There are a lots of fests. The library is the biggest I have ever seen. Infrastructure is also very good. For sports and curricular activities, there are lots of options and you can also try things like horse riding, swimming, archery and other things which you won't usually get in every college.

Remarks:

The college is running like a private corporate organization. But as they provide education services, we thought to believe they will be helpful, and offer us quality education, but they failed in providing quality education. The management is biased, your practical number can vary if you are not a chamcha of the faculty. You can achieve excellent marks by licking some boots. Jaipur national university is running with a motive to earn money. They do invite famous Bollywood star to increase the popularity. The university is purely PR gimmick.
