Remarks :

The college needs to think nationally if not globally at attracting good talents. The selection process is too simple. The teaching is standard of in house faculty is not that great and needs lots of improvement. The overall attitude towards students need to change. At PG level the students demand respect and freedom, the college should think on these lines rather than using cctvs everwhere, mandatory attendances and many more such things. At last if the student wants to pursue a career in sales and marketing, then only choose the college. Courses like operations and systems are not at all good. But in Marketing the visiting professors are too good and are from LIBA, IIM, XLRI etc.

Entrance Preview :

I took MAT. I scored 706/800. I choose this college because it fitted my budget. And business today ranked the college in the top 50 colleges for management in 2014.

Internships Opportunities :

The college mostly fails to provide intership and the students have to fend for the themselves most of the time. Most if the internships are without any stipend. The internships cannot be taken in ines home state, so the expenditures are high given the point that we are not offered stipends.

Placement Experience :

Placements are poor. The packages are low and are ok only if your a fresher. Only marketing course is given importance. Companies generally don't come with higher responsibility jobs. The packages are in the range if 3lacs to 6lacs. Overall any student who has prior work experience and is looking at a salary raise post qualification, shouldn't choose the college.

College Events :

There is Inflore which is one of south india's largest inter college fest. The college hosts its flagship Rajagiri National Business Quiz which sees india's top corporates and colleges taking part in it. The quiz is telecaster on national television. Apart from this the college host cultural programs, freshers' day, talents day along regular social programs. The cultural part of the college is awesome.

Fee Structure And Facilities :

The fee struture for 2014-16 batch is as follows tuition fees 5 lacs. Compared to other colleges, it's very much affordable.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The college has international student exchange scholarships. Where one can study in Belgium and Germany for free and in Thailand, Korea, France for some expenses. The corporate office manages it. The students are selected through interviews but the program can be called off at the college's will as it happened with me this year.

Campus Life :

The campus life is ok. The students are friendly. There are outdoor programs which are really great. The gender ratio is nearly 1:1 as per my observations. The college lacks diversity as it has predominantly Malayali population in staff, professors and students. There are few outstation students and international students. International students come as international exchange students.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are not good. Boys hostel is 500m out side the college campus. The rooms are small. Girls hostel is inside the hostel but doesn't give any freedom. The gates for girls hostel close at 7pm which is a bit early for any pg course. The hostel food is not at all good. Too much spicy, oily and unhealthy for the boys and for girls it's horrible. The boys run the hostel mess but the girls are given absolutely no freedom in the functioning of the mess and the quality of the food. Be prepared to spend on outside food.

Alumni/Alumna :

The alumni network is what I cannot comment completely. But the seniors are really helpful. The placements are mostly initiated by the alumini.

Exam Structure :

Exam struture is poor. The college uses a software to select the questions. There's no pattern of the questions over the year. Sometimes maximum of the questions can be from the same chapter. Which points out at low planning in setting of the question papers.

Faculty :

Barring few professors, rest all the professors lack the qualities that help the students to get motivated to continue research on a topic. Nearly all of them use ppt to conduct classes. Not much emphasis on case studies and the methods of solving cases if any are inconsistent.

The reason I chose this course is that I love Finance. The faculties are having a good relationship with students and teaching methods are up to a certain level. Exams are conducting according to the KTU calendar and that's not a big deal.
