Remarks
The eligibility of DGI in B.tech in 2016 was about an aggregate of 50% in PCM along with English Core. After completing my 10+2, I choose my career in B.tech so I started finding out colleges. DGI was the finest college in Greater Noida, so I visited there and fill the application form. At that time application form was filled in offline mode only. I filled out the application form along with the required documents and after submitting the form, the management immodestly call me for an interview. After a successful interview, they told me to pay the academic fees.
Course Curriculum Overview
As I mentioned above, I want to become a civil engineer, so I choose this course. DGI is affiliated with DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University formerly UPTU, So the faculties were obviously well trained and well-educated. There were about 48-50 students in a class and faculties were able to handle the class very nicely. The faculties were well educated and some of them even completed their Ph.D. The teaching method of the faculties are very impressive, they always try to explain everything with an live example which makes things very easy for us. Now If I will talk about terms exam, it was about 40 marks and it was easy to pass because the teachers explain us everything, so there is no difficulty to pass it.
Placement Experience
The most important thing about any college is placements. The average placements in DGI were between 3lpa to 5lpa. The highest package of 10lpa was came from the CSE department. Many big IT companies visited in DGI such as Airtel, Appolo, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Internshala, BITCS, Accenture etc for recuting students. They offer an average package of 3lpa to 5lpa. About 75% students will placed through on-campus. My plans was about going in higher studies after Btech, but my TNP cell forced to sit in atleast one or two companies, so I choose to apply in Infosys but somehow got rejected. So I dropped the idea of campus placements and focus on higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
If I will talk about fee structure, then I am not wrong, because it is the most affordable private engineering college in Greater Noida. The fee structure in the first year was about 75000 which was kind of affordable for me. There is no hike in the fees in any academic year. I do not know to remember a scholarship offered by the college, but some of my classmates were offered.
Campus Life
coming to the infrastructures of the college, they facilitate us with hostel with CCTV surveillance, Seminar hall, green ground, a cafeteria, labs with air conditioner, a central library, departmental library along with a sports arena. You can access any book related to your course any time from the central library, mostly all the books which is required by the students are available there in bulk. An annual sports were also conducted by the management and many hackathons were also organised by the different departments. Coming to the extra curricular activities, E-yantra lab was also there along with Enterpreneaur Cell. Automation labs were also accessible. Transport facility was also available for the students who came from far places.
Interview Experience
Currently, If you go to take admission in DGI then you must fill out the application form from the official website of the college. But In 2016, I had filled out the form from the college and gave a personal interview. If you want to crack their interview then you must have the knowledge of your 10 and 10+2 academics. In my case, the interviewer first introduced himself and then asked me to introduce myself, and then he asked me about my native place and also some famous things about my native place. After that, he had asked about secondary and senior secondary marks and then asked some basic questions about them. After completing the interview, he asked me to leave and told me that if your interview will be cleared by our side then we will call you for further process. After 3 days, I received the call from college management that I had been selected and complete the remaining process.
Other Applied Colleges
KIET, IPEC, KEC | Bachelor Of Technology
I did not choose this college because I was not able to afford their academic fees.
