Remarks

IIPE is an institute of national importance under the ministry of petroleum and natural gas. With IIT kgp being the mentoring institute, IIPE accepts its admissions through JEE ADVANCED score, similar to IITs, IIST IISER, etc. For UG programmes there are currently PETROLEUM Engineering and CHEMICAL Engineering streams. More details can be found at the website iipe.ac.in I have availed my admission under Gen(EWS) Category.

Course Curriculum Overview

I became keenly interested when I came across the curriculum and syllabus. Faculty are highly qualified professionals, mostly alumni from IIT s. I am really satisfied with the course curriculum, the syllabus is covered and help from faculty for any kind of queries.

Class Size: 56Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Paid internships have been offered recently with 25 k per month stipends to students from the 6th semester, as ESG consultants. Trainings are also provided timely by companies like ONGC to make the students aware of industrial terms, things, etc.

Placement Experience

Students here at IIPE are getting placed in reputed PSUs and IT companies as well. For internships, some companies have offered 25 k per month to students from the 6th semester. With avg CTC of 9.75 lac, iipe students have bragged 66 offers this year with a batch strength of 87.

Fees and Financial Aid

There will be a 100% fee waiver for students with annual income<1 lakh, 75% for annual income 1-5 lakh, and 50% for 5-8 lakh. However, there won't be any waiver in hostel fees, similar to IITs. I avail 100 percent tuition fee waiver under this scheme.

Campus Life

Fests are organized regularly, but due to the lack of a permanent campus yet, one couldn't expect great campus life. There are coding, literary, and many other clubs which are run by students. Classrooms and libraries are organized presently in the ANDHRA UNIVERSITY campus, Vishakhapatnam. These are sufficiently equipped and the library has almost all of the required books for the course curriculum.

Hostel Facilities

Currently, our hostels are private owned, with different hostels for different year students. With good quality food and accommodation, we are charged rs 25000 per semester excluding food, and rs 4400 per month for food seperately.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.

Actually i had less rank in jee advance exam so i didnt got any IIT in my counselling .Then i got to know about this college from internet . In our college students go admission based on their jee advance rank . So this is how i chosed this college. Our college is as per IITS in academic but the difference is that our college have only core braches so they focus on skills . And the is average placememt is also low as compairing to IITS but in compare to NITs it is smiliar with respective branches Admission process is simle student must have qualified jee advance and have cuttof marks in their 12th board exam as per their category and student should have some document like aadhar card , marksheet , TC , mediccal certificate , bank account , Admission for slip etc. Student have to submit all the required documents in hard copy ....Read More

IIPE is good in terms of Education and Placements but lacks Social LIfe and enjoyment like Fests and Programs.
