Remarks
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU) is part of the NLUs chain. The college also has international MoUs which gives us a very good opportunity. The admission of all NLUs is through the CLAT entrance test and the admission to Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai (MNLU) is also through the CLAT entrance after passing the test I have to appear for GD and PI. The admission selections on the basis of performance in CLAT test+GD+PI.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of the college is very nicely designed and it follows all the latest judgements and the curriculum is fully industrial-focused. The curriculum covers all the topics related to the supreme court judgement and the international laws in detail. The faculty is highly qualified the plus point with the faculty is they are of PhD level and they understand all the sections very well and help us to remember these sections by providing various tips and tricks.
Internships Opportunities
The college was successful in providing the internship and even we got an opportunity to work under the judges of the high court and supreme court which was a very good learning experience for us.
Placement Experience
The college was newly established the college placement record is not so great but that does not mean that the college was not sucessfull in providing the placement. The college provided the placement opportunity but the placement record was around 45-55%. The highest placement offer of the college was around 6 LPA and the average salary offer was around 3.50 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
In comparison to other NLUs the college fee is on the higher side but the college offer scholarship through Scholarship by the Department of Social Justice & Assistance, Scholarships by the Central/State government, Fee waivers/concessions.
Campus Life
Currently, the campus is operating from the Centre for Excellence in Telecom Training and Management (CETTM) and the new campus of the university is built in the 60 acres of land provided by the government of Maharashtra. The college has 11 research centres like Centre for Clinical Legal Education, Centre for Post Graduate Legal Studies, Centre for Research in Criminal Justice, Centre for Maritime Law and Research, Centre for Mediation and Research, Centre for Arbitration and Research, etc and many more research centre is available which is very good learning experiences for us. The Moot courtroom is very nicely maintained. The college also has an annual fest by the name of Abhikrama.
Interview Experience
The college has very good interview sessions in the GD round it is observed that do we have the ability to express our views and thought. In PI rounds all the questions related to the laws and questions related to the legal industry are asked. The question is not so difficult we just need to have the basic knowledge of legal terms and methods.
