P.E.S Mdoern College review

The admission process was quite smooth and fast. I did take the JEE entrance and had secured 63 in it. I got modern in my 1st cap round itself. it was quite exciting. I had given ENTC as my first choice.

I got into ENTC department. The First year staff was very freindly and very good at teching their own particular subjects. In the 2nd year, stepping in our own particular specialized departments, I would say was the toughest year for many students including me. But this being said, all the teachers were very supportive and always took time to interact with the students, solving doubts, helping in assignments, and even taking remedial classes after college to teach difficult topics and revision. The ICT tools are effectively used by faculty members. Mentor-mentee scheme is available where students can discuss various topics with their specific mentor, who guides them in solving them. The teaching faulty are very knowledgeable about their own specific subjects and made sure we did not limit ourselves only to theoretical knowledge but also learn about the practical approach towards it. This can be compounded by the fact that various workshops and seminars are conducted by the department.

During my 3rd year, I applied for an internship position at ElectronicWings Digital Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as a Data Analysis and Digital Marketeer. I had received this oppurtunity thourgh the department itself.

As far as the placements would go, I would say that modern college has one of the best placement history with students. Companies which come for campus placements are Persistent , Cognizant , Infosys , TCS , BYJU’s , Bitwise , LT&T etc. The placement mentors give utmost support to the students from revising our resume’s to preparing us for interviews and campus rounds. This shows the faculty’s commitment towards the welfare and future of the student. The average salary is around 4lpa and highest package went till about 30lpa. Im an entrepreneur at the core so my plans after getting the degree was to work on my start-up.

Well the fee's for general category students is around 1lpa (inclusive of everything). For OBC it is 50%reduced. For SC/ST category it is 70% reduced. The college does give you timely reminder about filling the appplication forms, which nowadays is done completely online.

The cultural and non-cultural fests arranged in our college was always the most exciting phase of the year as large number of students used to participate and take part in different events. Students from other colleges also participated in these and vice-versa. This not only made the student community stronger but also made these events fun and memorable. Various departmental activities and clubs are available for students to participate like FoxCodes campus club, Rotaract club, Robotics club, Pegasus club etc. IEEE and IETE memberships gives opportunities to students to increase their academic caliber by contributing research papers on various studies and thus advancing their career. The infrastructure is quite big and spacious with various amenities and facilities with respect to academics and sports. There is huge ground in front of the college used for students to practice, play or for other extra-curricular activities. The library has various reference books, e papers, e journals.
