Any student who has completed his 2puc becomes eligible. Admission can be availed through kcet, comedk and management. One can find the respective application and queries regarding the course by meeting the respective person at the reception. One can avail reservation benefits such as Snq and others. Admission would be better if it is done online.

Computer science and engineering are viewed as the upcoming renovation in the field of engineering. There are 3000+students,300 + staff and a large alumni network. Students are taught by teachers who are guided, highly experienced,well qualified and passionate faculty. There are exams conducted every month and every student has to complete two internal and the toughness of the paper is moderate.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 140000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The normal fee for a student through kcet is 96k and comedk is around 1.4k. Improving soft skills in English proficiency through the integrated student development program. There are numerous scholarships given by the state government as well as industrialists like Jindal.

GAT library provides an extensive collection of information resources services and facilities to our students and staff for their learning research and personal development the college's state of art library boasts a collection of more than 300000 books 250 technical journals.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.

I had applied to colleges like don bosco, BMS , RNSIT and so on but i chose this college due to faculty expertise and the facilities. Also the campuses environment and the balance of academics and extracurricular activities played a major role in my decision. When compared to other colleges the course curriculum here was more aligned with industry trends and ensured skill development.The facilities like labs , libraries are advanved.The college's placement record is good and had ties with good companies. While i did apply to other prestigious colleges i didn't secure admission in some due to the cutoff of those colleges.The admission process was smooth and easier . College accepts admission through exams like kcet and comed K for engineering and as for diploma students through d cet . The cutoff for ECE is 66000 rank and the most preferred exam from majority of students is kcet.and the admission process doesn't include any interviews.
