Remarks

The institute funded by DST and other sources is run a clean form. The administration is but slow in cases of funding and meeting our small problems.

Entrance Preview

The exams that i took last year are 1 IIT JEE (221/504) AIR - 3315 Obc : 515, Jee mais 215/360, Air 3305 Obc: 505 2 CUSAT CAT AIR - 109 OBC 8 3 Kerala CEE (engg) rank -159 OBC 74 4>NEST rank -54. I chose this course over other courses because i had interest in going for basic science research than an engineering B Tech course. Also for any student wishing to persue pure science career this institute is the best in INDIA.

5

The Course curriculum for the first 3 semesters include single courses in maths, physics, chemistry, biology and engineering. The Institue offers paid internship in top colleges of the world( generally in US, UK,Germany and Netherlands) during the summer after 3rd year of the course to academically well performing students (about 35 studets out of 110).

The exams are not conducted by the unversity but is under the control of each of the proffesor. If the proffeson is nice and cool we dont have exams but if he is rude we may hav. Some of the proffesor last sem had only 2 exams (1 mid sem exam,1 end sem exam)

Campus Life

4

The campus life here is a life to enjoy, study and celibrate. 80% of the people here are either Mtech, PhD or Post Doctoral fellows so we are like small children for them. Basic science clubs here are very active. Also each day there will be seminars and colleges offered by various departments of the institute to which we can attend if we have interst NO CASTISM, NO RACISM. NO GENDER INEQUALITY women works in labs till late night as like men the hav no problem to rome in the campus at any late night hour security guard are vigilant 24*7 at all crossroads.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel facilities that we get depends on our luck as to which hostel we are allotted. There 6 mens hostel and 4 womens hostel Of them 4 of the mens hostel have tiled floor and bathrooms, good facilities and all but 2 remaining are a bit old but far better comparedd with normal govt. hostels. All except one womens hostel are good.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes we have an allumini network. The seniors ocationally visits us. Generally a lot of the alluminus from here are the notches of reserch collaboration with companies.

Faculty

5

The faculties here are the best that one can imagine in the country. All of them are Post Dotorals from the top notch istitutions round the globe. Some of them are "Padmasree" holders, Some members of Royal Society, and even the lab handlers are PhDs. They introduce to us the fundamentals of the subject. The biology and Chemistry professors after the basic teaching of the coursework are always interested in introdusing us to the present reserch works going round the globe.

Students become eligible from the 5th semester. The university also conducts placement drives and skill development workshops. Out of the various companies, some of the reputed ones include Goldman Sachs, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, De Shaw, etc. The average package is around 7 to 8 lakhs but 60% students opt out from placements for further education. I plan to study a master's degree in business economics after my undergraduate studies.

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
