Remarks

The very good about the college is the location, infrastructure and the faculty. The bad thing was nothing from my point of view. My college is best in the world.

Entrance Preview

I have passed All India Engineering Entrance Examination 2004 to get admission in BTech. After that, I enrolled myself in SKIET, Kurukshetra for 4 Years.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Not so difficult, but it was average. A student of medium in studies can pass the examinations easily. The practicals and theory makes the candidate a successful engineer.

Internships Opportunities

The internship program was not upto that level what is required. We personally move to some organization and get some certification on our own risk and without any stipend.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement were arranged by the college but mostly students were getting jobs from off-campus placement like Baddi, Chandigarh, Panipat etc.

College Events

4.5

Annual athlete meet 2007, Annual function of the college (4 times) and one trip to Kullu-Manali and another trip Dehradun to Mussoorie with my classmates.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee was extremely feasible that time not much expensive as compared to the present time. The students from reserved categories also supported by the scholarships and some other helps from the college and the government as well.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship was also provided by the government to the reserve category students. The college facilitate the outstanding students for their studies.

Campus Life

4.5

The extracurriculars were very regular at that time. The sports meet, technical and non-technical debates, college trip to remote locations were often organised by the college time to time.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel was great and the food is awesome. The students never try to opt out the breakfast, lunch or dinner from the mess. The daily students from outside also prefer mess for their lunch.

Alumni/Alumna

The senior students were very helpful and always try to help the juniors in any form they could. They provide the notes and practical knowledge what they have during their own examinations.

Exam Structure

The exam contains the theory part and the practical part. Theory comprised of four units and 8 questions out of which 5 questions need to be attempted. In practicals, 40 marks may be awarded to students performing excellently in the exam.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was very nice and hardworking at my time. Present may be different. All the teachers were Masters in their fields and they work hard with their students equally in theory and the practicals as well.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements begin from the 6th semester. The highest package offered so far is Rs. 40 LPA, and the average package is around Rs. 8 LPA. A few companies have visited, and the placement cell is still growing. Exact placement percentages have not been shared yet. I plan to focus on internships and skill-building during the course and aim to apply for tech roles after graduation, both on-campus and off-campus.
