Remarks

College management is not so student friendly. Because it takes unwanted actions against students for silly cases and small mistakes. Also there is not so much facilities provided for the fee paid

Entrance Preview

KEAM (Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance). I have chosen instrumentation because it has the highest scope in future technical field. And also it has the highest scope in gulf countries in their oil fields and mining. It also assures high salary.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course structure followed by our University is need to be improved. Because it follows the syllabus which was thrown out by premiere engineering institutions like IITs and NITs in 90s. Instrumentation has a lot of fields. Such as control engineering, signal processing, microprocessors, automation, robotics and mechatronics. From all the above fields our university preffers only a few. That is syllabus covers only less than 30 % of all that

Internships Opportunities

No. Our college doesn't provide an effective internship opportunity for highly talented students. They only looks for those students who performs well in exam paper only. Practical talent is not much treated

Placement Experience

1

There are a lot of companies coming there for campus recruitment. But they all belongs to IT field. Which are not at all helpful for the streams like mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, civil etc. Also they are only giving opportunities for the companies which have a tie up with the management for doing campus recruitment. No core companies for other branches than Computer science and Information Technology are entertained.

College Events

1.5

Where there is an unwanted syllabus there is no better place for exams. But all the students take exams very serious because it is the qualifying criteria to achieve the degree. And also all the IT companies which comes here for recruitment puts the first criteria as the pass percentage in examinations

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is an annual fees of sixty five thousand for a meritorious student who won seat through Entrance examination. There is a fees of one lakh and one and half lakh for management and NRI admissions respectively. Although it is very expensive to study here for four years including hostel charges.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a list of various scholarships Which are available for students is placed on the scholarship board on the library. And the college shows keen interest for availing this scholarships for students.

Campus Life

2

College life here is very much enjoyable. And also haves competitions like robo war, circuit designing and others. Because of our college is a muslim minority institution it strictly follows a policy in gender equality. There is as much as females in College such as males. It provides both a good infrastructure for their privacies

Hostel Facilities

2.5

One of the plus point of our college from other collges is that the infrastructure and facilities provided at the hostels. It is the biggest hostel in terms of area and no of students in the state. It also has the tastiest food provided in any hostels in kerala.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumnies have done a lot to our college. In fact it has an alumni Association which regularly conducts various meetings and programs.

Exam Structure

MESTECH, the annual techno cultural fest which is happening in our college for years. But the fact is that there is more cultural events than technical events in this techno cultural fest. The participation of other college students are comparatively less.

Faculty

1.5

Some faculties are highly qualified with having doctorate. They have a deep knowledge in what they are teaching. Some of them only have post graduation. But they teaches very well. Some teachers are very useless such that they only have a little knowledge about the topic and they behaves like they are the king of that subjects.
