Remarks

The admission is based on the merit of the students. 50% of the seats are filled directly by CEE considering the KEAM rank of the students. 50% of seats are filled by the management of the college. This is also done on the basis of the merit of the students in the higher secondary examination. Application for admission can be submitted directly from the college website. There are no charges for the application form. No reservation benefits are provided by the college except the one provided by the government and are applicable only for seats filled by CEE. Students should get at least 50% marks in PCM combined and 45% in Mathematics separately in their higher secondary examination for being eligible for the course. All students should also pass the entrance examination conducted by the CEE.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

CSE is a good branch with a lot of opportunities. The syllabus is very much useful and is carrier-oriented. Personally, I choose the CSE branch as it provides ample carrier opportunities. The curriculum is really good. But I would prefer to add some practical knowledge to it. The facilities are extremely good with some being exceptionally talented. All are very helpful and understanding. The lab staff are also really helpful and motivate us to do practicals on our own. All the faculties have their post-graduation and some have PhDs. The series exam is conducted regularly every two months and the question paper is moderate. Internal exams have a pass percentage of about 80% and semester exams have a pass percentage of about 70%.

Internships Opportunities

4

The college provides its students with a large number of internship opportunities. More than 80% of students get chances for internships in top companies such as Wipro, Infosys etc. Internship opportunities are provided from the 4th semester itself and a lot of students benefit from this. Many companies provide permanent jobs to interns after completing their internships. In terms of internship opportunities, the college is above average.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college offers good placement opportunities. A number of reputed companies including Wipro, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, UST Global, etc conduct placement activities from the 7th semester itself. On average, more than 50 companies visit the campus for placement activities and offer an average salary package of 3LPA. More than 60% of students get placement on-campus interviews. But Computer Science and Engineering branch outperforms this with more than 80% of students getting placement. Special placement training classes will be provided from the first semester itself making students ready for the interviews. So overall the college provide ample placement opportunities

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of the college are the same as all other private engineering colleges in Kerala. Management quota fees are a bit higher. But a lot of scholarships are provided by the management. There is a Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme in which the students can study at a fee of just 8400/yr if the student secures 95% or above in higher secondary examination or less than 10000 ranks in KEAM. Likewise different schemes are there for students up to 75% or above. The cost of study without availing of any scholarships is about 500000. There is no fees hike unless approved by the University. The college provides a lot of campus placements and more than 60% of students get placement opportunities. So the college is above average in this regard.

Campus Life

4

The college has a soothing and eco-friendly atmosphere which is one of the sticking features of the college. The college has well connectivity with the nearby town. A lot of technical events are conducted by different clubs in the college every month. The college provides very less extracurricular activities which need to be improved. The college conducts its annual techfest named ASTRA every year, it is an experience and helps to improve our ideas, knowledge, and level. The fests are mainly during the even semester that is during Jan-Mar. A lot of books and journals are available in the library which can be accessed online also. Classrooms are well equipped and all are smart class enabled. The classrooms and labs are well maintained and are very hygenic. IEEE society in the college is very active and is selected as the best student Chapter under Kochi Chapter recently. There are lots of others clubs run byt the students in the college like Nature club, Jesus Youth, Startup Bootcamps etc.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements are decent. getting placed in a big company is more about having the technical and soft skills to pass the interviews. the placement training helps us develop soft skills but the technical skills must be developed ourselves.
