I selected mechanical Branch faculty in this very nice student to faculty is very good with 10:1 all faculty are Ph.D. holders for various IIT and nit college follow semester examination which compromises of end sem, mid sem & viva & all in the ratio of 50:30:20 for the main subject

mainly Form 6th semester all students are ready for on-campus placement. all multinational companies come here for on-campus placement. there are many startup opportunities students also get. noncore students can also site for its company placement

Fees and Financial Aid

the fee is the same as all nits on a semester basis college himself doesn't give any scholarship but one can apply for the government as well private scholarship such ass NSP, E-Kalyan. their no job opportunity on campus job but you can do an internship and earn.

Campus Life

The college organizes many fests such as culfest, Urjja, there are 6 technical clubs with 7 nontechnical clubs for dance, drama, singing, drawing. senior is well good & respectful. our college has a very large library where you can read books related to all fields. you can play cricket, volleyball, basketball, badminton, etc. their these sports have an official team over there for boys as well as girls NSS, Sankalp is social activities group. Daksh,drift, Phoenix.. and many more. tech.. club

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
