Eligibility- candidate should have passed +2 in science stream from any recognized school. The application can be submitted to rie cee website. The application fee is around 800-1000 and is available in the month of June or July.
Course Curriculum Overview
With a bachelor's degree, this course will give you a b.ed degree as well which ensures a job for your future i.e if you are not going for engineering and still want the security of the job. And the most important point to join is if You are passionate about teaching. A classroom is of 55 students and the institute have all faculties but not in the number they are actually required. As every other govt department, they ate having a number of vacancies. A good point is that all the faculties are highly qualified, the zoology professor Dr AK Mohapatra, physics professor, Dr SK dash and many such names have an active role in the ncert textbooks of class 9-12 (CBSE). Facilities are also known to send their questions in many entrance examinations. There is a huge problem of delayed results, otherwise passing is not that difficult. If you study, you score well.
Internships Opportunities
Jnv across eastern India offers an internship option. 4 months internship with accommodation. You will not be required to spend any money from your pocket, but I am not sure about the stipend paid. Students also take tuition and support it as experience.
Placement Experience
In 8th sem, only students are sent for placements and internships. Many schools come for placements and offer 20k-35k per month. 100%of the students get placed. Personally, I will go for the combined defence services exam after graduation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are not an issue as it is directly funded by ncert, new Delhi. Talking about scholarships, all sc and st students get scholarships, and 50% of the total obc and general students ate given scholarships. The full scholarship ranges from 7000-7500 per year. Placements- most of the students go for masters otherwise the placement percentage is almost 100%. The salary is 20k to somewhere 35k.
Campus Life
Campus life is not that enjoyable and I consider an important reason is a too much seniority of the seniors. Otherwise, it is like all other institutions where activities are conducted of all types according to the annual calendar.
Hostel Facilities
Hotels are made for 2 students per room but 3 students live in them. The new hostel is under construction. The meal in boys hostel is really bad. Getting a hostel is not an issue as rooms are always available.
