IIT Indore Review

I wanted a degree in VLSI Design and Nanoelectronics during my research I found that very few colleges provide specialization courses in VLSI Design and Nanoelectronics. IIT Indore grabbed my attention as it's an IIT and IIT Indore provides specialization in VLSI Design and Nanoelectronics which was really a good opportunity for me. During my research process, I found that IIT Indore's research and projects are internationally recognized and the college has also registered 77 patents. IIT Indore is aggressively increasing its global presence the college has collaborated with universities of North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. After knowing such great things about IIT Indore I was quite excited to be part of the college. Students who wanted to be part of IIT Indore must secure a minimum of 60% marks in the GATE exam and for SC/ST/PWD students 55% marks in their bachelor's degree. The candidate has to appear for the COAP counseling program. As the college has collaboration with lots of international universities you can also submit IELTS or TOEFL scores to prove your English speaking level if you have it.

Without a doubt, the curriculum of the college is of international level and with all the latest industrial norms and standards. As I was totally prepared that the curriculum would be little tough in comparison to other colleges as IIT Indore is increasing international presence so they need to keep their student according to it and be ready for global competition. The curriculum gives us opportunities to be part of some research that gives us international exposure and helps us to understand new things.

The internship is part of the curriculum. We can know about the participating companies for the internship program from the placement committee. The placement committee of the college is very supportive and they make sure that we somehow get our internship. As many research activities are going on in college if any student is part of such a research program and is unable to attend an internship they can submit they can opt-out from the internship program with the help of the concerned faculty responsible for research activity. The stipend for the internship ranges from Rs. 20000/- to Rs. 1,00,000/-

The college has a tremendous placement record. The college placement committee is very supportive and they are aware of their responsibilities as they guide us and help us throughout the placement drive of the college. The college has a 100% placement record. The highest package for our batch went up to around 45 LPA and the average package was around 20 LPA. Few of the students receive pre-placement offers during the internship program. Companies like Goldman Sachs, Arcesium, L&T, Analog Devices, Texas Instruments, Amazon, Barclays, Deloitte, Jaguar Land Rover, JIO, Tata Digital, Quantile Analytics, Microsoft, Google visited our campus during the placement drive of the college.

The college also provides scholarships for merit students but I was not so lucky I did not receive any kind of scholarship so I have to pay my own fee. Scholarship for SC/ST/PWD students is also available. to know about the college scholarship program you can visit the college's official website.

Frankly speaking, most of our time was invested in studies. As the college provides lots of national and international opportunities we do not want to miss out. The college provides an ample studying environment. The college library is full of all kinds of academic and non-academic books and research articles are also available in the library. The college provides high-speed internet connectivity around the campus. The college organizes events during the festive season of India and celebrates Holi and Diwali.

The hostel rooms are spacious and properly ventilated. The rooms are cleaned 5 times a week. The hostel is well maintained and the hostel warden and staff are very professional support. The mess food is delicious and healthy. Student hygiene is fully taken care of. 24 hours internet facility is also available in the hostel. The hostel provides all types of important facilities to students. All the hostel students and seniors are quite supportive and friendly.

The faculty of the college is very professional and experienced. Most of the faculty have taken part in international research and their articles are also published in international journals. Most of the faculties of the college have industrial exposure which is very beneficial for us as they keep on sharing their experience whenever it is necessary.
