Internships Opportunities
There is an industrial training conducted in the second year which is a part of the course curriculum, many hotels come to conduct the interview for selection to the college itself. The placement cell also helps in securing internship for the students. Industrial training stipend varies as per the Hotel policies.
Placement Experience
70% of the students were placed through the Hotel Campus. All leading Hotel chains like the Taj, Oberois, Hyatt, HHI, Leela etc. comes fo rthe campus. besides these FMCG majors and GE capital etc. also comes for the campus placements.
College Events
Gourmet night is the mos premium even which happens yearly. Its a food festival and an opportunity for students to learn a great deal.Students are also encouraged to participate in fests and different inter college festivals.
Fees and Financial Aid
None to my knowledge during my tenure. Educations loans may be availed from different banks. The principal had the discretionary power to offer subsidized fees and waiver of fees under special cases.
Campus Life
Campus life was very relaxed and cool, there was no peer pressure. During our time the ratio of boys to girls were around 80: 20. People from all around India came to the college so it was a mix of all religion caste and culture and it never created any problems in the college or the hostel.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni Network is present but its is not a very strong organisation. There is a alumni event held every Year. The seniors have brought and are bringing in laurels for the college and are doing well in their professional life either in service of business.
Exam Structure
Yearly exams and practicals were conducted. There were few internal tests but not that they were accounted for. Generally its a relaxed atmosphere with not much stress.
Faculty
Faculty was experienced and former Hoteliers so they could share there practical experience of working in the industry. Other subject teachers were also experts in their fields and we never had any issues of shortage of teachers, classes not happening etc.
