We had a proper restaurant set up were faculty would have kuch prepared my students itself and judge on the quality . We had a mini hotel setup called jahajbati were we had our practical housekeeping classes We had a full fledged kitchen set up next to the restaurant which was well equipped We had a front office setup for operations

Final semister we were called for campus placements We had taj hotels oberoi htc many more Wipro Almost all 100 students got placed I joined Wipro and got into customer service later on now 22 years into professional life

When we joined the Diplomal in hotel management course we were also enrolled for the BaA i. Hospitality management course from Robert Gordon University Aberdeen Scotland . The total fees including both the course was 350000 plus hostel fees for about 150000 for three years out of which we hand campus placement practicals for 6 months were we were placed in 5 star hotels across India for practical training

We had Annautasava an annual food fest were all colleges participated We had our annual festival called Tarang were we had inter college competitions We were also a part of the alumni groups Over all we have seniors and juniors working across the globe and country and we are all in touch

It's was about 50000 a year we used to get breakfast and lunch at college Dinner was served at hostel weekly once non veg was given Sundays we used to get bf lunch and dinner at hostel . We had adequate washrooms and each room was shared by two students

Had seen the add in the news paper in 1999 and applied via letter later was called for Group discussion Personal interview Admission formalities Induction Commencement of course This was the only college I had applied for first I had a written exam in silliguri which I cleared and was called to Kolkata for group discussion

We had class rooms for 50 each but the classrooms were using digital platforms for teaching Extensive practical classes . Extensive theroy classes were a daily routine we had college from Monday to Saturday

Current events was the topic of GD They judged us on the content of inputs spoken about it's relevance and the quality of inputs given during the discussion We were not given any inputs on the topic of GD we had to speak in the spot about what always given to the group

We used to have sundays off and used to go for movies Eveings we had few good spots in saltlake area were we used to hangout good and cheap food options were there around and Kolkata was an affordable place for us We even enrolled into gyms in local area
