Remarks

In short government college for women is a pretty good college for girls and the college management is accommodating. The only regret is that job opportunities are not that amplified.

Entrance Preview

Common entrance test for application to B.Sc stream as i was interested in studying earth science alongside the biological sciences.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

General english, chemistry, botany, environmental science & geography were the main subjects. Course curriculum is pretty interesting and teachers are fairly good .

Internships Opportunities

No stipend was given as it was only given to orphan and poor students. Placement opportunities are available only for students pursuing various vocational courses including those of biochemistry, biotechnology and others.

Placement Experience

1

Job opportunities are available mostly in the teaching department with further scope after carrying out post graduation studies.

College Events

4.5

Various cultural events are being continuously held, alongside that debates, discussions and other educational events are being held. Personalities from various walks of life are invited usually to motivate the students in pursuing their particular fields with zeal and vigor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible neither expensive nor cheap. Students pursuing normal graduation courses have to give less fees as compared to those pursuing vocational courses whose fee structure run on a bit costlier side.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship s are scarce and whatever are available are meagre and only for poor and needy students.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is fairly good, parties are bill, extracurricular activities are ample with stress on almost all types of sporting activities like cricket, badminton, taekwondo etc. Debates are continuously being held with the students of the college usually emerging victorious. Religious tolerance is excellent and students of all religions study together harmoniously.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students like me usually go for the higher studies in various universities and fare pretty well. Some studentsare studying in the universities out of state and some within state.

Exam Structure

Exams are carried out according to strict schedule with no leniency whatsoever, labs are fairly good with ample material. But the english library is the best of all and a safe haven for an ardent book lover.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

Placements aren't that good and for Zoology it's like the research roles in labs and under research professors so mostly a salary of 30-50k is what students of Zooly gets at our college and even DU stidnets get the same.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not. There are so many things that you have to be careful about when you are visiting a college and checking out its ambience. Don’t get influenced by the clean campuses that most of the colleges have; they purposely do it so that people like you get attracted to their appearance and join their team. If you don’t want to waste your hard earned money on the fees of the wrong college which spoils your fairy-tale dream, you might want to take admission in a college that’s good enough for students like you.
