In josaa councling I was getting some lower branches like chemical engineering , metallurgy and materials engeneering etc. in top NITs like NIT Surathkal, NIT Warangal, NIT Kurukshetra. I was even getting circuital branches like computer science engineering, ECE, EEE, etc. in some lower NITs and IIITs. But after discussing with my elder brothers they suggested me to choose top college in comparison to some lower college with decent branch. Although I didn't get the rejection from any other college because in josaa counceling i filled only those choices which i was expecting to get. The admission process of NIT Trichy for me was through josaa counceling. There are few other state government exams which on the basis of rank take candidates. But for B.Tech we only have JEE MAINS. This year the cutoff was higher in comparison to previous years. All the department had a major jump in the closing ranks. I got NIT Warangal Metallurgy in the first round of JoSAA counselling as well as NIT Srinigar IT in the second and third rounds. Chose Production at NITT over them because I dont like Coding or Metallurgy but am enthusiastic about operations and supply chain. The admission happens through JoSAA counselling on the basis of JEE Main scores. Above 98.5 percentile is safe scote for General Males. 98 percentiles should be enough for OBC and EWS males(both other state). For females decrease 1 percentile each....Read More

NIT Trichy is one of the best colleges in India and ranks first among all other NITs. The overall experience studying in the Department of Management Studies, NIT Trichy, is highly satisfying. Although, one major negative aspect of NIT Trichy is that the summers are extremely hot, and the institute doesn't have any cooling facility for hostels. Coming to the admission process, the applicants will be shortlisted based on CAT scores. Usually, the shortlisted candidates are invited to attend GD/WAT & PI but due to the pandemic, the institute has changed the process. Now candidates are shortlisted and offered admission based on their overall CAT scores, 10th percentage, 12th percentage, and graduation percentage.
