Remarks

Students must score 50% above in the graduation course to become eligible for this program. Apart from this, the scores in that CAT exam are also very important. The cut-off for IMT Ghaziabad was 93%. They also take into account if you have any work experience. SCores of other exams like XAT and GMAT are also accepted. You are supposed to apply offline or online using their application form and submit the required documents. A list of selected students is put up on the website later and then you are called in for the GD/PI rounds. All important dates are available on the official website.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

MBA after B.E seemed like a good option to advance in the various career opportunities and it has proven fruitful. The class size is 60 but total number of students are approx 600 and there are around 50-55 professors who are highly qualified and also have great industry exposure and experience which they make use of while teaching. They also help organize guest lectures for the course. Term exams are conducted end of the trimester and scheduled tentatively is sent at the beginning of the year itself. Exams are easy to pass as there is access to study material in the library for studying and preparing well.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

The average stipend received was around 55-60 thousand and the highest was 2.5-3 lakhs. The internship is for 8 weeks but can vary according to company that has offered the role. The majority of offers are from BFSI, IT, FMCG, and Manufacturing companies among other roles also. Companies like Cognizant, Credit Suisse, Amazon, Deloitte, Godrej, Goldman Sachs, etc offer internships to the students after the first year. They also provide PPOs or PPIs to those students who do well in the internships.

Placement Experience

5

Students become eligible for campus placements during and after the sixth term. Around 180-190 companies visited campus for placements. The average salary was 15.3 lakhs and the highest salary was 62 lakhs. Companies like Accenture, Microsoft, Amazon, barclays, boche, KPMG, Deloitte, Loreal, Wipro, etc came in for the final placements and offered various roles in the field of IT, BSFI, automobile, FMCG, e-commerce, consulting, etc. 95% placement was achieved during my batch with many students having received PPOs and PPIs from internship companies already.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the full course is around 20 lakhs and the fees slightly increase every year. But, IMT has scholarships to help students in need ie the EWS category scholarship, scholarships for females, and also scholarships based on merit for students who score well in the graduation and CAT exams. Details of these and eligibility are present on the IMT website. There is also a facility for educational loans as the college has tie-ups with some banks.

Campus Life

5

There are two main fests in IMT called Passion and Chakravyuh. The first one is a cultural event and the second one is a sports-based event but both are very popular and loved by the students. There are many committees in IMT like the Student Council, Rotary Club, Placement Cell, Music and Dance Clubs, etc. It is a very active life for a student and helps in all-around development. The library has all the latest journals and books and also an internet facility for online resources and the full campus is air-conditioned. Many case study competitions are also held which provide good opportunities to learn and also to gain a chance for achieving PPI or PPO if the company is offering it.

Interview Experience

4.5

IMT conducted a group exercise round instead of GD for my batch at least. Groups of 10 students are made and you are given a task which is to be completed in 20-25 mins and then you are supposed to present it to the panelists. The topic was energy-efficient cars for rural India. This was followed by the personal interview round where they mostly ask questions related to the previous job experience, graduation, and other academic details and also information that is filled in the application form. It is not a very stressful interview, you should just be aware of your profile and confident of your goals and basic current affairs knowledge. MBA coaching classes provide you with a good amount of topics and questions to prepare from.
