VIT Business School, VIT University Vellore is an AACSB accredited business school which is something only 5% of world's university's are awarded with. Colleges with this accreditation have been proven to provide the best in business education worldwide hence I chose VITBS.
Course Curriculum Overview
Talking about academics, the course curriculum here is designed in such a way that it provides students with an ample amount of practical knowledge and academic skills to prepare them for the business world. The college follows a trimester system hence a total of six semesters in 2 years with a flexible enough credit system. The VI trimester consists of a Capstone project to help students with an intellectual experience.
Placement Experience
The college has been entered into the Limca Book of Records for the 8th time for unbeatable placement records. The highest package last year was a whooping 44 lakhs with around 167 companies participating in the placement drive. HDFC Bank, TCS, Kotak Security, Standard Chartered, Aditya Birla Finance, Mahindra Finance, Hyundai Corporation, Havells's, SBI Life, Idea, Future Group and many more took part in the placement drive.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee of an MBA course here is around 7.03 lacs which can be paid in yearly instalments. College also provides scholarships on a merit basis but to a very few. Students with eligible CAT/XAT/GMAT scores above 95 percentile are eligible for full fee waiver and the ones with 90 percentile and above are eligible for 50% tuition fee waiver. Moreover, students with MAT score of 99 percentile and above are eligible for full fee waiver and the ones with 95 percentile and above are eligible for 50% tuition fee waiver. The college also provides a full fee waiver on NMAT scores of 345 and a 50% fees waiver for a score of 325-345.
Campus Life
There are various conferences that are organized year long for students to attend with eminent speakers attending. Moreover, sports are considered an integral part of the curriculum hence numerous outdoor playgrounds and indoor courts are spread all over the campus. There are also a number of clubs that one can join under the heads of arts and culture, social outreach, health & wellness, and literature.
