MCC is among the most popular Private colleges in Chennai and that's why it has been ranked 5th in Overall and 9th for Computer Applications rankings of 2020 IndiaToday group.The college is approved by UGC and has been accredited by NAAC with Grade ''A''. MCC is affiliated with the University of Madras. Admission to the college for MCA is based upon on TANCET score of candidates.

Course Curriculum Overview

For anyone who has completed their Graduation in BCA,Master's in computer application is a great option because it gives candidates the chance to meet the needs of industrial requirements. The faculty gives a very supportive atmosphere to study and help the students with all their doubts. Alongside these things the college also organises events to encourage students with skill development.

Internships Opportunities

Internship round at our college is good and I was happy to work in a 6 week internship opportunity with a leading tech firm. Firms from different domains visit the college and recruit students as per their calibres. Students can even work on online Internships to have good work exposure.

Placement Experience

Placement offers at MCC have been decent and students become eligible for the round in their last year. Companies such as Infosys, Deloitte, Wipro, HCL visit the institute for Placements and around 60%+ candidates get placed annually. The average salary of the college was INR 2.5 Lacs per annum. Students who want to go towards doctoral programmes can even go towards that.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The total fee for the MCA course at Madras Christian College is INR 1.16 Lacs and it has been distributed in annual shifts of INR 38,600 per annum. Students who have brilliant academic records or belong to reserved categories can get various scholarships according to their eligibility.

MCC is built in over 300 acres and has all basic amenities established in it. The Campus life is mainly popular for its Annual Cultural Festival ''Deepwoods'' and along with that students the Sport's events are also there in which Students participate wholeheartedly. The Library hall, Cafeteria and Computer lab facility is also available in the college. Various cells, societies and committees are also there and Placement cell, Students committee and Union Society are very popular. The classrooms at MMC are also very modern

Hostel Facilities

Hostel services at MCC are good and students who want to reside elsewhere for their studies can opt for hostel accommodation or even search for PG rooms near the college. Rooms,Mess, Sports as well as extracurricular activities in the hostel are good. Hostels or PGs can also help students to improve their academic performances because a lot of minds work combining there. A total Number of 6 residence halls are there in Madras Christian College.

Hostel Fee: INR 20000 per year

Admission

Admissions to MCA are provided on the basis of candidates' scores in the TANCET Scores which is organised by Anna University. The eligibility to apply for the programme is that candidates must have scored 50% marks.

Likes

The college staffs are friendly and staffs are also very much involved into extracurricular activities.
The college has well maintained lavatories
The staffs send us internship opportunities

Dislikes

The drinking water facilities are poor and not well utilized
The college dont have active participation or training for sports, but they are focusing more now.
Water stagnates during rain at college premising and has poor bike parking facilities

Placement Experience:

The college brings in mass recruiters during the placement season during 7th semester itself and companies, the avg package would be 4-5 LPA and companies with high pakages also come in for hiring but has huge competition.

the college could improve its pratical learning modern laboratory facilities industry exposure internship oppornities and placement support more interactive teaching methods and better career guidance would benefits students.
the college has knowledgeable and supportive faculty a friendly campus environment good learning facilities and opportunities to participate in events and build friendships the curriculum provides a strong theoretical foundation.
campus life is enjoyable and students generally interact well with each other the girls to boys ration is approximately depending on the course and batch overall the college offers a good learning environment with scope for improvement.

Dislikes

the college needs to improve its laboratory facilities and provide more pratical sessions workshops and hands on learning opportunities to help students gain industry relevant skills.

Placement Experience:

the college provides placement opportunities for eligible students generally starting from the sixth or seventh semester depending on the course and company requirement companies from different sectors visit the campus to recruit students for roles such as trainee software developer analyst and other entry level positions the number of companies visiting offers made and salary packages varies each years.

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

Faculties are not upto mark but they are ok
The infrastructure is not good but yes they are improving
Very bad toilet facilities, campus is not that big

Campus placement is possible here You will get intership from nimhans Bangalore and many great places There is campus placement but Id rather recommend to have other methods coz you will get great package for this course than the place they are placing us.

A view on recent days MCC

First there is no test admission it purely based on your cut off mark and first come first serve. The factors that made me choose Madras Christian College were it's tradition and culture, in mcc we have rich culture and traditions which took places throughout the year, I get to know about this from my brother. I have a applied up to 8 college and I got selected from all the 8 colleges First one Guru Nanak Second one Vivekananda College Third MCC Fourth Loyola Thomas College Sixth dgv 7th Hindustan College And SRM ramapuram I have choose the MCC College because it has good amount of surroundings and and good amount of environment which are useful for the people who are studying there and they have different types of cultures and people all over from India you studying in the college.
