Remarks

Nice location, good ranking and an IIT, and best in new iits. also close to my home state rajasthan, good campus, nice hostels that's why I chose iit ropar. And campus is present at very good location.

Good curriculum and also flexible. Students and professors can discuss themselves if they want to change anything. It's a autonomous university hence everything is flexible. And exams are timely conducted and checked.

Internships Opportunities

There are plenty of internship opportunities like you can do a project under any professor. You can join someone's startup or do it one of the company that came to college to take students for internship. You can also do it in other companies which u like.

Placement Experience

Students start getting pre placement offers from their 3rd year itself and placement drive starts in 4rth year. There are few rounds which are decided by companies. And they then take final interview and select students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Tution fees for each semester is 1 lakh. But financial aid available for student with weak financial status. Also for students belonging to backward castes. Also many scholarships available according to your performance.

Campus Life

Great life, large campus of 500+ acres. Greenery all ground Near sataluj river. New and modern hotels.Great facilities for students, gym, playgrounds everything. Nothing more required, everything available at campus.

No. Only jee mains and advanced conducted. Also a minimum of 75% marks in 12th standard needed. Otherwise admissions gets rejected. So u need to study hard and perform well.

Likes

supportive campus environment with the comfortable in the classess
faculty most faculty members are very much supportive and they guide the students in the right way only
events are there in the campus provided by the campus.

Dislikes

limited practical exposure is provided by the campus and also there should be more hand on international events
infrastructure is not that good , as they were should on the online it is dii
Placement cell provides opportunities but the stronger industry connections.

Placement Experience:

placements at my college are very very good, as everybody gets the chance to sit for the placements at the same level. we get the placement oportunities at the 6th semster also. in my brancg it is very good

A Vibrant Campus with good learning and great opportunities

Likes

good infrastructure , large libraries and practical labs
helpful and large opportunities in campus

class size can be large , it helps every child to interact
academic work is quite high , the schedule may feel hectic especially during examination

The curriculum is relevant and covers core cse subjects like programing DSA and DBMS . it provides good fundamental for placements and further studies , more practical projects and industry based teaching would improve it .

I like the most about the college the placement criteria and the way built your confidence
Also the hostel is very good and provide food 4 times
The campus explorer is also very nice according to me

Faculty is not soo well had a lit bit inconvenience
Hostel mess food is not good at some time
Placement is decent and average as like other collage

Likes

I appreciate the well maintained campus and infrastructure the cleaniness in the collage is good
My engagement with collage is good I join various types of activity in the collage

Dislikes

There is no ac in the class and the class windows are not that good
But there is one problem which is that there is no many options for girls in games like sports

Currently my course at cgc landran does not have any types of placement in my course but however the collage focuses on enhancing development of students employability by providing interships , skills development and workshops to enhance there knowledge

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Cmc - a feeling in itself

Likes

Academics are very good along with proper clinical teaching lectures and simulation based teaching. Patient load is good. All the clinicals skills required at mbbs level are taught properly.
There are various extra-curricular activities which take place in college. Many cultural events are organized by college and student bodies every month which gives an holistic development experience
Sports facilities are also there which are very good.

Dislikes

Infrastructure is very old and needs repair
Many faculty members are leaving leading to less good professors in the college
Patient load is decreasing day by day resulting in less clinical exposure

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum followed in our college is CBME based curriculum. Our college was one such college which conrributed tremendously in developing this type of curriculum. It trains you in all clinical skills and provide you with the best doctor skills. Also many soft skills training session our held which helps in developing and training ourselves as good doctor. All the skills are taught on models and patients.clinical training is very good. However , patient load is decreasing which restricts oursleves in seeing variety of patients

Faculty : The faculty of Gian sagar as per experienced in 1st year of Mbbs is very caring and very talented. They take as many tests they can and make the student learn.
Learning facility : The teachers make digital slides.
Personal skill development : Every student is personally approached.

Dislikes

Too much syllabus : The mbbs course has a lot of syllabus to cover

The MBBS course is a very vast course . Syllabus is too much to handle . The curriculum prepares us for the practical approach like Anatomy , we have Dhall for cadaver dissection and osteology . We can see real life radiography.

The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
