Remarks
The admissions at PDM are based on the scores in the qualifying examination. They also consider CAT/GMAT scores for shortlisting. The first step for the admissions is registering online. If shortlisted we are called in for a PI. I decided to join PDM because of the fee structure. They charged very nominal fee when compared to other colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
MBA at PDM focuses on aspects of Accounting, Statistical techniques, Economics among others. The course is also highly interdisciplinary in nature. The syllabus incorporates various other subjects that are relevant for the current industry scenario. All of our faculties were very supportive, and helpful in all matters of studies.
Placement Experience
The placements are descent. I wouldn't say they are very good. Some companies like TCS, IBM and others visited our campus. About 80% students got placed from my batch. The average package offered to us was 4 LAPA and the highest was 10 LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total tuition fee was around 2 lakhs. We had various scholarship schemes. Students with 95% above marks in the qualifying exam are offered a 100% off on tuition fee. Students with marks above 90%, 85%, 80%, 75%, 70%, and 65% are given an off of 50%, 20%, 15%, 10% and 5% on the tuition fee respectively.
Campus Life
The facilities at PDM are highly advanced. During the time of admission we are given iPad. And it is through these iPads that we are informed of the course and exams. We also had a free Wi-Fi connection at the campus. Other facilities like hostels, gym, labs and cafeteria are also of good quality.
