NIT MIZORAM COLLEGE REVIEW

To get admission in NIT Mizoram first you have to qualify the JEE Mains . You have total 4 chance ( Jan, Feb, March, April ) to attend the JEE Mains in one calender year in ideal situation. If you qualify the JEE mains then after that you have to apply for counciling on JOSAA portal after that CSAB portal and their are 1500 and 2000 application fee respectively. Their are also apply some reservation on the basis of your reservation criteria like State quata , Category reservation , Physically Handicapped reservation etc. JOSAA counciling complete into 6 rounds , if you are selected in any round and you pay the course acceptance fee ( 20k for SC, ST & Pwd Students and 40k for GEN, EWS & OBC Students ) then you have to 3 option i.e. FREEZ, FLOT, SLID to proceed for further coming round and if you are not pay the course acceptance fee after getting any college in any round then you will automatically excluded from next comming round and this same process also applicable in CSAB round.

Course curriculam is quite average. In the online mode, the teaching method is not good. I choose this course only on the basis of own interest. There are a good ratio of faculty and students. The qualification of most faculty is masters and p.hd. I rate the teaching method 6 out of 10 . Term exam are always held on time and in online mode nothing is difficult to pass.

I would rate the internship opportunity provided by our college is 5 out of 10 because they only allow 3rd and 4th-year students for internships and also they did not provide a company we all have to find and company and get approval by the college to start our internship.

After 6th-semester students become eligible for campus placement . There is some famus company like Microsoft, L&T, TATA Moters, Mahindra Tech hire the students in campus placement. 50 percent students of each branch are placed . 28 lac is the higest packeg of this year in CSE branch and average packeg of our college is 6.5 lac.

Fee structure is totally based on your income certificate i.e. if your income is less than 1 lac/SC/ST/Pwd then you have to pay 3k per semester ( Tution fee = 00 + Acedemic and Other Charges = 3k ) , if your income is grater than 1 lac and less than 5 lac the you have to pay 28500 per semester ( tution fee + Acedemic fee and other charges ) and if you income is grater than 5 lac then you have to pay 65000 per semester ( tution fee + Acedemic fee and other charges ) and 15k per semester for hostel and mess for all students. SC/ST/Minority students apply for scholarship in the NCP portal and the rest students apply for scholarships in their own respective state government scholarship. Their are no any specific scholarship distribudet by NIT Mizoram . 50 to 70 percent students of EEE branche are placed in campus job.

Our college doesn't have a permanent campus and due to online going classes I haven't much more knowledge and experience about the campus life of our college but on the basis of our senior's experience, the campus life of our college is quite average. There is an Electrical Engineering Society which is run by our collge students of the EEE branch and different branch also have their own different branch society and also our collge organize a cultural program.
