Remarks

My admission was on the basis of 10th and 12th class marks. Due to covid, there was not any type of entrance exam. Else they conduct entrance exams to get selected in batches. Its syllabus is the same as previous year classes.

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose b.tech from civil because I want to be a civil engineer. There were 50 students in the civil branch the whole 1st year had approx 234 students. The faculty is too good here they all are highly educated some of them are iitians. They conduct mid-term every 6th month. Its syllabus is what you have studied in the classroom.

Internships Opportunities

You get internship to understand more about what you studying and doing practical about. You get here internship in companies brach located near. Internship Runs almost 4 months in the 3rd year and 6 months in the final year. You are given project works also. That really helps you to have a sharp view of your course.

Placement Experience

After 6th-semester students become eligible for campus placement. Many branded companies like Mahindra, Apolo, Wipro, etc visit campus. Approx 75% of students get campus placement in good companies with high packages. I remember the highest package offered to my batchmate was 1.3 crore.

Campus Life

Every year here they organize a fresher party for new students when the new session gets started. There is also a science fair conducted by the university each year. Top models get rewarded and are sent to the next level. The library is very good here so can get a daily newspaper magazine and almost every book here The classroom is well furnished and good. Here is a big playground they conduct friendly matches.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is good here. Rooms are well furnished and neat and clean. Fan and airconditioner are also in them. Hostel mess is also nice. They provide you breakfast; 2 times meal. The menu changes every day of the week.

Reality of VIT, Pune

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mechanical engineering has been the most interesting and very formal subject from the starting of engineering schools. Also, my interest for automobiles, automoblie industries and mechanical subjects is the driving factor for me to opt this course. But, as the subjects has evolved, so not the curriculum. Core mechanics subjects like thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mechatronics comes in 2 nd and third year of curriculum which is very late. No changes in subjects and curriculum according to real industry. The curriculum is not up-to-date which rather waste the time of student inistead of learning new skills and skiils which are required in the market. Also the exams in the our college, has been the same like every other colleges. Viva, course projects , industry projects, and written exams. Curriculum needs a mojor boost like it need to add new subjects through which we can learn skills to be industry ready, in addition with the core subjects. Moving on to topic of exams, and overall the exams are easy to crack and the difficulty is medium. The good part of exams is that every subjects has its own course projects which require every set of skills. There are 4 course projects and 1 industry projects which require a lot of skills and in the process we learn many software likes solidworks ansys and cutocad like softwares.

MIT WPU : The Reality

Placement Experience:

Placements are usually pretty average of 7-10LPA and usually students with CGPA of 7-9 sit for the campus placements. I would say around 40% students get placed decently. If no campus placement, the course is so diverse that you can easily get jobs if you have the skills.

I already said I am a newcomer here , but about placement I can say it will improve much , because now it have its own campus Currently it's average package is 17 LPA In 2024 50% of students got placed ,in 2023 60% got placed , but all it was in its temporary campus, since it has its own campus, we can expect a better placement percentage

My college - my experience

The reason for taking admission to this college is it doesn't give admission on basis of donation. As I'm from open category is was a little tough to get admission in Pune. And I get this college, in which I get direct admission through jee score. It's a very good opportunity to students not belonging to Maharashtra state to get admission through jee. Admission criteria is very simple as they require non zero scores in jee or MH cet exam. And then according to our score and availability of seat, we get our branch. Like i got computer engineering as my first preference is that only. If you go my counseling process for the same you need scorecard of jee or MH cet on which basis 3 rounds are held for admission you can also take admission like this.
