Life at Nishita Degree College, Nizamabad

To get admission to a Degree in Telanagana one has to apply on DOST (Degree Online Services Telangana) website and select the preferred colleges. The application fee for DOST is Around Rs.200/- you can apply it yourself or at any nearest Meeseva Centre. You will get alloted seat based on previous study scores. I choose nishita degree college as it is accredited with NAAC C grade and offers both UG and PG courses.students from sc/st or any other reserved quota can avail benefits on admission process. Sometimes the selected colleges are not alloted despite of good study scores which i think is need to be improved thats all.

I enrolled in B.sc(computer science) because I always wanted to study computers and software. I think this course gives students a deep insight into computers and related technology. The faculty at nishita degree college is very well experienced and have good communication skills. There is one lecturer for 40 students the ratio is 1:50. The faculty members have good qualifications and use both classroom and practical based methods. There are two midterms every semester and they are not difficult to pass.

The fees in Nishita Degree college is Rs.20000/- per year but may differ course wise. Fees hike is decided by Telangana University the governing university for all colleges. The total cost for the course would be around 70000 rupees minus other fees. I applied for the minorities Scholarship scheme provided by the Telangana government which paid for my complete course there are also other scholarships students can try. There were no jobs on campus. You can work outside part-time. The college won't provide any financial assistance we have to pay complete fees.

The campus life at nishita degree college is very good as it is a big campus with a volleyball and cricket playground. The classrooms and labs are well equipped and have state of the art infrastructure. Many fests are held in the college while a freshers day is always held in December every year. The library has many books which are available at any time. The classrooms also have a projector facility for easy understanding. Every year a cricket tournament is held in the college which is very fun. There is also a prayer hall in the college.
