Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I choose Int MSc Biotechnology as I love Biology and wanted to go in research field. And I found Siksha O Anusandhan University has an Int program which I find really interesting. Faculty Student ratio is quite good. It's like 1: 4. There are near about 13 to 15 high qualifying professors in our Biotechnology department and all are PhD holders and all are working in some projects everytime. Examinations are always on time. Internals or Mid terms conducted near about 2 to 3 months from start and semester exam conducted in every 6 month. Exam question papers are moderate and if you really study then you will definitely score very good marks and if you maintain your score then you will be provided with scholarship every year.

Internships Opportunities

4

Some HR companies and sales companies do visit for placement. And the stipend is not that high ,it is 10000-15000 /- .A lot of projects research-based are going on like topics related to cancer and genetics etc.

Placement Experience

3

Final year students get the opportunity to seat in placements interviews in other departments .our batch didn't get a chance for placements and there are very few companies for biotechnology department. But the professor recommends internships which really beneficial for us.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees can be paid quarterly. Usually, private universities are a bit expensive but Siksha O Anusandhan being a private university is quite affordable with good quality of education and opportunities. The course fee for Int MSc Biotechnology is 87,000 yearly.

Campus Life

4

University conducts SOA MUN every year. And there are always events taking place in this university. Radio jokey, festa, etc. Libraries are there in every department and block with thousands of books and journals. There's a huge tennis court as well a cricket playground . And sports conducted every year. This university is a cultural hub with lots of talents. Students participate in every kind of programs. We celebrate festivals together like Holi and Diwali.

4

Hostel fees are 70,000 yearly which includes mess fees as well. Meals provided are hygiene and quite fancy for every day. You can also find pg near the university area with a monthly charge of 4000-10000/-
