Remarks

I took JKCET state-level entrance exam. The exam was of 180 marks and was pretty easy. The cutoff was around 40 marks at that time. The entrance exam fee was 1000rs. The result came after about a month and the admission process started soon after.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I was interested in programming since my school days, but sadly the college didn't have that kind of atmosphere. The faculty were pretty decent, but it was the management which was lacking experience. It felt less of a college and more like a factory that was producing kids only to pass the exams and leave the college. The college didn't help any of the students in enhancing their skills.

Class Size: 48Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Placement Experience

Most of the students got placed from the campus, but most of them didn't join. Because the companies were hiring for call centers only. Some of the companies were itenic (which was hiring for HCL and Wipro), and Tech Mahindra. The package that they were offering was around 2 lakh. Only the students of the final year were eligible for placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was around 80000 per year, and it increased almost every year. The college didn't have any scholarship progammes. Although various companies visited the campus for placements, all of them were hiring for call centers. And the college kept bragging about the high number of placements like every other year.

Campus Life

The College didn't have any sports groups. Also, there was no free period, so no one could go and play outside. The best thing about this College was the library, as I could find any book there that I wanted. There used to be a fest every year in March or April, and it was conducted and managed by the students, and sometimes by emptying their own pockets.

NIT Sringar is beautiful!!

Placement Experience:

Marshal the placement resources so well that our college has close to 90% placement records. Siemens, ABB and such companies where ECE engineers can contribute are the companies that hires us and the average for our ECE branch is 6 lakhs or so.

Is Nit Srinagar worth it?

Placement Experience:

Yes my college offers placements for each branch students becomes eligible after sixth semester if they doent have any active supply in there course and very company have their own criteria to make eligble to the student for placements like cgpa etc. companies visited in civil was L&T, Tata steel, Jsw, Afcon etc and the average package was 6 lakh every company brought diffrent no. of offers average was 5 in civil highest package got to mine class crc of 1300000 that was a psu and the percentage of students got placed was 10% only. mine plans after was to prepare for goverments exams.

There are in campus placements in our university. Students become eligible for the same from 7th semester. Companies like IBM, AMAZON, WIPRO, INFOSYS, DELOITTE, CGEGG, HONDA, NTPC, ACCENTURE are the top recruiters. The highest package was of 36.5 LPA and the average is 11.5LPA in the year 2023. The placement rate was of 108.38%.

Placement Experience:

Our institute has a placement call, and it helps the students acquire jobs in the industry. Many top companies like Wipro, L and T, and NVIDIA visit our campus, and it provides jobs in every field from Information Tech. to Material-related jobs. Here job opportunities are for every branch. Recently in one day 30-40 students got placed at an average package of 10 LPA. Most of the opportunities are for CSE and IT students as it goes for every institute and some companies like GAIL, and IOCL. BARC gives internship opportunities to chemical branches too. The core branches like Electrical and Mechanical also perform well in the placements. From the 7th semester, placement opportunities are given to the students. Highest package 40 LPA and median package 10 LPA.

Admission:

First apply for jee mains exam and get a rank under 50000 and also minimum 75% marks in 12th exam and you have only three attempt to qualify jee mains exam if you clear the cutoff so you also eligible for jee advance exam for the admission in IIT

Remarks:

The university is situated in the Trikuta foothills and is 80 km away from the main Jammu city so one has to bear that because everything is not available sometimes. Electricity is 24×7 and the weather is awesome.
