Remarks

Admission is done through COMED-K exam for Non-Karnataka and KCET for Karnataka students. You need to have at least 60% in 12th to be eligible for admission. The admission form can be found in the official site of COMED-K. It is released in the month of January generally. The application fee is 1500. The cut-off is released every year but ranks of less than 10000 will assure your admission. If you are from Karnataka state then you will surely have some benefits. You can even get a scholarship if applicable and your fee would be less than non-Karnataka students. The admission process is seamless. After the results are out for the entrance exam, you need to register for the counseling by paying 5000, and this will be managed in your course fee only. Then after some days, you would be asked to fill in your college preference. Based on your rank you would be allowed college. After that you will have to confirm your seat by paying part of your course fee in the college, generally, it is 50k.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Artificial Intelligence is a booming industry. So i wanted to take this course to get industry-ready. Acharya provided this course So, i took no longer and went for this course. Faculties are generally friendly with the students and ready to help you any time. Faculty to student ratio is good. You would be assigned your own proctor that will help you throughout the course. For every 20 students, you will have one proctor. Most of the faculties have done their M.Tech and some have even completed Ph.D. They have good knowledge about their subject. Teaching is done through interactive sessions and online teaching is even used. Acharya has their own online learning platform and ERP for all sort of things like fee payment, attendance, administrative work. In each semester you will have 3 internal tests and a semester exam. It is not difficult to pass that exam as you will get all the required materials for its preparation.

Internships Opportunities

4

Acharya has collaborations with Internshalla that provides internship opportunities to students. Ther are some offers exclusively for Acharya students and you even get online courses at huge discount from which you can increase your skills in particular domain. I did my first internship in 2nd semester from Career Dreams Education. It was free internship so i did not get any stipend but i got work experience there. I ahve done projects in web developments and made an e-commerce website from scratch as my final project. You will get notified about internship opportunities from time to time. But only you will have to grab them.

Placement Experience

4

From 6th semester college placements start. Companies start to visit campus for placements. Placements are decents in our college. The average package offered is 3.5 to 4 L per annum. Some even get 8 to 10 L per annum. These placements are from CSE and ISE branches. For AIML it is also same as the placements are done along with cse and ise branches. Companies like Cognizant, Deloitte, TCS, Accenture come in college placement. One of my seniors got placed in Cognizant at 4.5 L per annum. Some even got 6L. You can even find placement opportunities outside campus. And in Bangalore it is not hard to find a decent placement outside campus. Around 80% student get placed from cse and ise branches every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

My total course fee for 4 years is 6,50,000. I have taken admission through COMED-K and for KCET it is even less. In Acharya you can get financial benefits either from the state or the centre if you are elegible. Here you also have no cost EMI scheme where you will have to pay your total course fee in EMIs and not all at once. The benefit is that you won't be charged any interest for that. It will be given by Acharya only. Moreover, Karnataka state has many scholarship schemes for SC/ST, where you can apply and Acharya will tell you the scholatship schemes available. Around the campus you can take any part time job or you can even have it inside the campus. Look for opportunities, Acharya will provide you many.

Campus Life

4.5

Every year Acharya organises Acharya Habba which is the largest fest in any college in Bangalore. You will have DJ nights, cultural events, dance, tech events and many more. You can enjoy as much as you want. Acharya's central library is the biggest library in any campus in Bangalore and you will love it. It has all sorts of academic books, monthly journals and digital library. You can issue books for 6 months even related to your subject. Library would be the most peaceful place in the entire college. Classrooms are big enough with proper ventilation. You have greenboard and projectors. Acharya will provide you sports facilities and it also organise Acharya Premiere League where you can participate. Those who play good cricket will love it. Apart from this you will have many extra curricular activities. There are many clubs which you can join like coding club, google developers club, nature's club, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.
