Remarks

College is average only not that good but if you want a b.tech degree near to gurgaon and can't get better college than this than it is good only. College management is very strict and you will feel like school there.

Entrance Preview

I opted for IEEE exam in 2009 to get admission in this college. I scored 102 marks in that. I opted for this college as it was good and i got it from my counclings.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

ECE was my branch. 1st year is common for all the branches having all common subjects. Then in second year we got electronics and communications subjects till the final semester with some other subjects from cse and mechanical too. Electronics they told analogue digital instruments VLSI matlab etc. Which all were the part of our curriculum and also communication subjects. Last semester was full of communication subjects only but that was 7th. In final and 8th semester we were having options for projects or industrial training and not any theory exams in that. In between 2-3year one training for two months and 3-4 year one training was there.

Internships Opportunities

They don't provide intenships. But they will recommend what to do and how to get interns near over there.

Placement Experience

1.5

Placement are very limited. And not that good but ya average and for CSE it's quite good too. Students not getting placed also got jobs after leaving the college. So anyhow you will get a job. They are not taking too much pressure on their heads to get the students placed. So the placement are not that good. They are asking to go to other college and in walk ins to get placed. But our college there are very few companies coming for placement.

College Events

2.5

There were not that many events. One event was there for college students which contains all sports and cultural activities and that is for four days. Remaining all fairwell and freshers will happen. Other that that there are not that many events to do over there.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was feasible only as it was 1.4L per annum for both hostel and course. So I didn't felt it was expensive. Although it was desided with a cap on the fee by the university itself so it was okay. In fee they got course fee for the tution of the student and some activity fees joining with all mentioned everywhere in all the colleges but total was 80+60K for the full year and hence arround 5.6 L for the full b.tech course.

Fees and Financial Aid

You can take loans from different banks on your convenience but no tie ups with baks from the college.

Campus Life

3

Campus life was like school only in the day time or lecture time. Gender ratio was 40% girls and remaining boys in the college. Labs we use to visit frequently. Sports we use to play after the college timings being in the hostel. There were some coptetions held during our time in robotics and electronics instruments.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel was okay kind of thing as everywhere and i also had in my schooling too. Hostel rooms were good well furnished and occupied by students. The hostel was sharing and it was like 4 sharing for 1st year and reducing to 1 till the final year so 4,3,2,1 kind of thing. If you will not opt for hostel and go to pg and all that will cost arround 5K per month.

Alumni/Alumna

There is not any good alumini contact in the college. And so they are not helpfull even. College is not connecting with the pass out students to make the network and get some help out of them. I can say that there is no alumini kind of thing over there and even I don't have any contact to the college now.

Exam Structure

It was not hectic actually neither it was cool. We were getting Assignment regularly and labs were sheduled everyday. We were required to maintain our notebooks and practicals too. Exam structure was given by the university and there were 6 subjects each senester and exam shedule was also provided by the university.

Admission

Through IEEE counseling i got this college according to my preference. Than i went to the college and got admission. Admission process was like started from checking my documents and then payment of fee to the college through DD. Then they gave me admission and allotted roll no. And branch ECE as i got that from counseling itself. After that i visited the college and took admission to hostel also. Fee was not much at that time total with hostel it was arround 1.4 lakhs for one year. This was a four year course and each year you need to pay fee in two installments that was semester wise.

Faculty

3

Faculty was quit good compared to other colleges. There were phd faculty who were for senior students and at least m.trch for other faculty. Also the lab assistants were b.tech. They were good in teaching and very helpful. They used to tell as much they know and they can. Projectors are there and most faculty use them for teaching the curriculum to the students. Faculty is also average as like the college only.

Placement Experience:

Here in KR Mangalam University, plcement opportunities start from the 6th semester. Many companies come to the campus for placements like Wipro, TCS, Infosys, HCL, and a few startups too. Some students also get internships before placements. The highest package offered was around 36 LPA and the average package is between 7 to 9 LPA. Most students get placed especially those who have good coding and communication skills. The university also helps students for their interviews and written , aptitude tests through training programs such as boot camps and my more ideas. After completing my degree, I plan to either get a job through campus placement or prepare for higher studies like M.Tech or go for government exams depending on situations.

Several companies come for the placement purpose which goes with interviews. As college has large strength so obviously its not necessary everyone will get the placement but they still try that no one will be left at least one should stand in 2 or 3 interviews plus my opinion is to also try outside waiting for the placement from college is okay but one should try outside my plans are to complete my course have one or two practice jobs then doing mtech .
