Remarks

As this is a government medical college, Students can enroll here through the NEET Examination. I scored 638 marks and AIR 6429 in NEET and got admission here through the state quota. The cutoff for general category in this college was around 610 marks. The admission process was fairly simple, just make sure you have all the documents like marksheets, allotment letter, domicile certificate and ID proofs.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is divided into 9 semesters along with a 1-year internship (5.5 years). There are 18 subjects with a different department in the college dedicated to each. The teachers here are really well qualified and have a lot of teaching experience. There are around 10 teaching staffs in each department. There were 2 terminal exams each 3 months. They were moderately difficult.

Internships Opportunities

5

After the course is over, it is mandatory to complete an internship of 1 year. You can choose a subject of your choice and can do the internship in that department. You can be assigned to any government or private hospital.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual academic fee for this course is around Rs. 1,00,000 for General category students, Rs. 50,000 for EWS category and Rs. 10,000 for SC/ST category. The hostel expenses are around Rs. 10,000 per year (excluding mess). The fees have to be deposited in the form of a Demand Draft. There are many scholarships given to the students by the government (Rajarshi Chattrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulk Shishyavrutti Vojana, etc.)

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is really fun. There are a lot of interesting events all around the year like Shivjayanti, Avighna (Ganesh Chaturthi), Open Mic, Garba Evening, Tie, and Saree Day. The name of main college fest is Arunodaya and it is conducted around October. There are lots of sport events like inter-college competitions (Cricket, Football, Volleyball and Chess). The practical labs are really well equipped with good staff. The classrooms are spacious and have AC, Projector and stage. The library is also good. The college also has an Instagram handle and a Youtube channel.

Interview Experience

5

The admission was granted purely on the basis of performance and score in the NEET Examination. There were no interviews and written tests afterward. The syllabus of the NEET Examination includes Physics, Chemistry, and Biology from classes 11th and 12th. After the result, the student can apply for counseling where they will be allotted college based on their rank.

Placement Experience:

They have great placement opportunities and even opportunities to go abroad for future studies and practice. They allow the students to explore such things but don't prepare and focus on a holistic development within the course years. They barely spend any money over co curricular activities and events.

Remarks:

Positive: The college's infrastructure is really good. Negative: Being a private medical college, a lot of money is charged and they even earn extra money by charging unnecessary numerous times, very expensive admission forms and other expenses. Faculty is okay, selected few are only good. It is placed in a town which isn't well developed (Ahmednagar) There could be more extra curricular events and less restrictions for students living in the hostel, but there aren't.
