Remarks

Positive: The college's infrastructure is really good. Negative: Being a private medical college, a lot of money is charged and they even earn extra money by charging unnecessary numerous times, very expensive admission forms and other expenses. Faculty is okay, selected few are only good. It is placed in a town which isn't well developed (Ahmednagar) There could be more extra curricular events and less restrictions for students living in the hostel, but there aren't.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is pretty vast and includes a lot of reading and in the process you gain a lot of knowledge. But the idea of writing unnecessary journals is a big waste I feel. They have changed the MBBS Course in the recent news 2019 batch, which is better than the previous course. They have made it more practical so that it results in good doctors.

Placement Experience

4

There are no placements in MBBS. Internship is provided but there is no stipend provided which is technically wrong. I haven't experienced internship yet, because I am in 2nd year currently. Only hostel fees for that year are not charged.

College Events

3

There are a few events celebrated in my college such as: Ganpati (All days puja) along with events such as debates, painting, games, football, cricket and volleyball matches, pictionary, etc Dandiya is celebrated during Navratri, We have conferences on various topics, Research are conducted, Gathering: A fest kind of thing which is inter batch in our college, includes drama, sports of all kinds, music, fashion show, poetry and marathons.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is approx 7½ lacs per year for our batch, which is expensive (excludes mess fees, deposit and other costs). It is not at all feasible for a middle class family, and people end up taking educational loans. Private medical colleges are expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

A good scholarship offered by the government through the college is available for people from different categories, and also there for OPEN category. For open category students, they is a reduction in half the fees if a few requirements are fulfilled. But it's not exactly half as the college gets a part of the money. You save some amount of money as something is better than nothing.

Campus Life

4.5

Labs are very huge and good with enough supplies. Extracurricular activities are there but they could be more. Sports is given great importance, we have grounds for various sports (medium quality) along with a sports complex for gym and indoor sports.

Hostel Facilities

3

On a scale of one to ten the hostel facilities for a private medical college are rated as: 5 Bathrooms are dirty along with the building and the rooms. Electricity is available almost throughout, there are power cuts but that is manageable. Water supply is there most of the times, but hot water is available only in the day time.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are a mix crowd. Some of them are really nice and some are really rude. People come here from all of Maharashtra, so it's full of different people. They help in academics and also help with social life. They teach you about the town and places to go for enjoyment.

Admission

The admission to the college is based upon an all india medical entrance exam: NEET which is National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. After 10th grade, i prepared for this Entrance exam for 2 years(11th and 12th) I joined a coaching centre for physics, chemistry and biology. It helped me prepare for both my 12th boards and my entrance exam. I acquired 456 marks in my first attempt. For the admission, you have to fill an online form on the Maharashtra website (dmer) and then your application is accepted. Then you have to verify all your documents at a centre. You have to fill a preference list for your desired colleges which include both government and private medical colleges. Once your application has been accepted fully, then you have to wait for an all Maharashtra state merit list. According to your category and marks you get admission. The list specifies which college you get, there are 3 rounds of merit lists. I got my college in the first merit list.

Faculty

3

The faculty of the college is not that great in terms of teaching a concept with interest or new ideas. They don't make it interesting and are not very knowledgeable. They are only worried about your attendance because they have been instructed by MUHS, Maharashtra university. There are very few teachers who teach well.
