Common Admission Test (CAT) - 91.72 Percentile I chose this because this is is one of the top Business Schools of India, MDI’s Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) has been awarded A grade by the National Board of Accreditation of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

The academics are mostly inclined on case-based pedagogy. This is extended to industrial lectures, guest lectures, live projects, panel discussions. Also, the institute is well connected with Video Conference features where we as students witness the live classroom experience from MDI Gurgaon.

Yes, the college does provide internships. All 27 students participating in the process received offers from 21 diverse set of companies across various domain in finance, operation, HR and sales, and Marketing. Total 36 offers were made to 2015-17 batch.Maximum profiles offered in sale & Marketing followed by Finance and HR.

The fees for 2 years is about 9.71 lakhs, hostel fees included. With the ultra new IIMs charging about 10 lakhs MDI M is at par with those institutes. With this compounded average growth rate MDI -m will exceed the expectations in a few years. So, it's definitely feasible. The residential experience is so worth it.

There is an SBI Scholar Loan feature where everyone is eligible to go for 20 lakh loan without collateral and 30 lakh loan with collateral.

Boys (Eklavya) and Girls (Bhagirathi) hostel are good enough with single occupancy rooms, with TV facility. There are 160 rooms in Boys hostel and 64 Rooms in the girl's hostel which shows a maximum intake of 80-120 students a year. The mess (Aahar) is a multi cuisine one with all types of quality food products with a pinch of Bengali flavor.

The exam structure is on a continuous basis which consists of quizzes, presentations, tests, project works, field works, research and industry study. Each subject is worth 3 credits and 30 hours with a total of 104 credits. It is a trimester system, like 3 terms a year. It is important for every student to have at least 85% of the above mentioned to appear for the exam.

I was shortlisted based on my CAT score and academics which further led to getting me a GD/PI Call. I was then called to the MDI Gurgaon campus where this round took place. It was a very competitive as students throughout the country and from various disciplines were present. So, after the GD round was over there was a tough PI round which together paved my way to get into MDI.

All our faculty are Ph.Ds from reputed colleges like ITT Kharagpur, IIM Calcutta, MDI Gurgaon, NIT Durgapur. Apart from the in-house faculty, we have adjunct faculty members who are from IIM Calcutta, IIM Shillong, MDI Gurgaon, World Bank, XIM Bhubaneshwar. This rich and vivid array of faculty members makes the learning experience.
