Entrance Preview

GBU has its own entrance exam updated on its website, My rank was 559 in the exam through which i got seat in CSE branch in 2012. I opted this university because this is the only college where i got a seat for admission.

Internships Opportunities

Our university is new, So,it will take time to improve the placement cell. Recently, few internships programmes are organized with the collaboration of other colleges like IIT Kanpur, G.L Bajaj etc.

Placement Experience

1.5

Well, we do not have very good placement in our college right now. Only few startups shows some interest in there ,but they also provide a very good in hand packages. If i will talk about our final year batch in School of ICT, then out of 150 students, only 30 students got selected with some average(2.5 lpa) and some outstanding(5.25 lpa) packages.

College Events

3

University has two main events Shauryautsav, annual sports meet aims at motivating students as well as faculty participate. Abhivyanjana, cultural meet which aims to provide a platform to the budding managers and compels them to think out of the box.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees for the hostel as well as the mess are feasible in which they alot per room to the student with the yearly fees of 60K/- (hostel + mess). Its mandatory to all students to stay in the campus. If we will come to the education fees, then it is called a DEEMED University but still the fees is not less than a private institute which is 90K per year(For GEN category).

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, The scholarship is provided by the state government to the students whose father's annual salary is less than 2 lpa. They provide the scholarship of around 94000/- every year to the students.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio in this university is 3:5 with minority of girls. College also organize plenty of worshops to enlighten the knowledge of students. College has its own cricket, football, hockey, volleyball, indoor stadiums plus swimming pool too where students can improve their skills. The labs are well infrastructed with modern tools and technology.

Exam Structure

Exams are very fair at GBU . Major exam conducts only two times in a year and rest are minors. In a semester(6 months), only one major and one minor happens.

Admission

Well, first they declare the results and they personally call or send invitation letter to selected candidates based on their rank. I was called in second counselling.Based on your rank and avail seats in a particular course, you can get admission in here.

Faculty

2

There you can find a tab named Faculty. There you can find the details of all the faculities by searching them based on their respective school and names. All the faculty in this college are M.Tech as well as P.H.D graduates with a great knowledge and skills.

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements in the final year. The college offers basic placement training and assistance. Some local and local-level comanies even visit for campus recruitment with average offers. Average package: 2-4 LPA, highest around 9-10 LPA 60-90 percent students get placed. My plan is to develop my skills and attain a good job or go for higher studies after degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it average . It is comprehensive but not so useful as in todays world we require more skills than the formulas. It is related to communication and i am very interested in that . It is not very good for real world application but wr do learn about the basics and get hold of how everything work but does not cover advanced technology. Syllabus should be revised and should be more based on skills than theory and rattafication There are 3 to 4 exam per semester which can be very hectic that it feels like we are giving exams every few weeks. Difficulty is not that much but syallabus is really hard to cover amd we can not focus more on skills and projects more of the time we are giving exams

course curriculum is little bit out-dated, and improvements are needed in terms of syllabus. timing of exams are ok ok. so many assignments are given which is really hectic because their are deadlines to upload those assignments in google classroom. and one thing i hate about college is 75% attendence is must. due to this we do not get much time for our personal development.
