Entrance Preview

I gave the AIEEE entrance exam and i scored 80 in that. I opted this college because it was one of the reputed colleges in mumbai and it was also established in around 1990, also the placement record of this college was good.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course structure is a bit outdated with lesser focus on hands-on experience, the course was much focussed on theory rather than practicals, so it was getting difficult to acquire about the practical knowledge of the concept, overall i would like to rate this as average.

Internships Opportunities

No, there was no such programmes for the internships, and there was bpo scope of stipend and all. our college didn't had any internship programmes.

Placement Experience

The placement and job opportunities was average because the number of students which got placed on-campus were less mainly because there were lesser number of companies. Which visited our college for the placement drive. To name a few like TCS, bristlecone, zycus etc.

College Events

There were a lot of events celebrated in our college right from annual festival of the college named zeal to branch wise events like yantra, abacus which was mainly focussed on the core concepts of the academic in which students used to present their ideas wheres zeal was full of entertainment.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was overall feasible compared to the their colleges as in our dirst year of engineering. I had to pay around 60,000, then in the second year the fee was increased to around 70,000 and i do not know the reasons why it was done, so overall it was feasible for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there was scholarship programme for the jammu & kashmir migrants in which we need to pay lesser fee around 25000 per year.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes the alumni network is good but not that much , our college used to organise event every year in which our alumni's used to come and share about their experience.

Exam Structure

The exams structure was frequent because we had to give assessments like after every 3 months and also there were regular lab base exams and it was necessary to score in them as they would affect our overall scores . So overall we used to get some time to chill out and play games.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

Placement of this college is average, average package is 4.5 lpa most of the students are eligible from semester 7 The companies like Capgemini, Accenture, mind space, LTI, siemens, eclerx ,etc visited to college campus. In recent mind space give place about 12 lpa. Placement percentage is 80 percentage After getting degree my plan is for higher studies.

The moderate college of engineering in pune , with moderate fees and good environment.

Placement Experience:

the placement structure of this college is mainly on the tech branches. the placement varies betweem 3 to 5 lakhs on average, annually but if are choosing core branches like mechanical, civil or electrical or entc then you can expect low from it. College do offers insdustry obesrvation and siteseeing tours. These activities are for core branch students. the companies visited in college are TCS, WIPRO, INFOSYS, for IT sector and core branches companies like BOSCH, ULTRATECH CEMENT, TATA TECHNOLOGIES , do visit for campus recruitment. The highest package was placed by a student of 45 lakhs in 2022 and another student of 22 lakhs. the percentage of placement for 2024 batch was about 70% to 72% for overall placement record. after getting degree i will persue the job in pune and stay updated on ladakh civil job vacancies.

i had seen Companies visiting like Entrata, Airtel, Honeywell etc..... Highest package till now for currently year is 15 lacks. I had also seen students who are doing interships and are placed there only.

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Should I go for VCET ??!!

I stay in goregaon and for me travelling in the reverse direction is easier than travelling to other colleges. The timing of the trains and the crowd is also pretty managable. I did apply for various college. KJ Somaiya and Xaviers are the college were I was accepted but according to my comfort I chose this college. As the Fees is also reasonable and the traveling time is also saved, So for me it was a the comfort zone I'd say. And other college I was rejected due to the score was not compitent as they needed it. It takes admission on the basis of CET JEE so the admission process is almost online they do have their institute round on their website for which the result is also given on the website itself....Read More

Review about recent upgrades at VCET

Admission process is smooth at the college. The management is very clear with all the instructions. Eligibility exams are MHTCET and JEE mains and also diploma in related field.
