Remarks

Dayanand Sagar University, Jain college, st Joseph College, Garden city university were more appealing and the admission process was better integrated. The eligibility is to attain 55 percentage aggregate of all +2 subjects also known as best of 5. There was no area of interest where they asked for age eligibility. After enrolling through their online website I received a call where I had to confirm my admission to the university and after traveling there I had to submit my matrix results(10th standard) and +2 results (12th) transfer certificate and migration certificate followed by the fee payment.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There is word around Bangalore that the Biotechnology faculty (life sciences) are promising and the instrumentation is awesome. In life sciences, there are about 150 students and 25 faculty. All the professors are doctorates and after each week of class a survey is conducted regarding the regularity and teaching process of the professors is satisfactory and the responses are anonymous. The papers are moderately standard according to a university scholar level and if the content provided by the university is thoroughly gone through-pass would be easy. In each semester there are 3 exams a mid-term, preparatory, and the end semester the end semesters are held every 6 months gap right before semester break.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internships offered by universities are mostly stipends and the rest are lab-based and a few are in which you might have to invest to be a part of the project, few fields are medical coding, HR, lab trainy, etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students become eligible after the 5th sem for campus placements. We have this year 15 companies visiting for our campus placement, for my course, Infosys, biocon, Patanjali, Tata, etc are a few companies that will come for campusing. 70 percent of students will surely get placed from the university. I will be pursuing for MSc in Marin Biotechnology.

Fees and Financial Aid

The base fee is 62000 now based on your +2(12th) results in the college provides scholarships that vary from the marks scored in your HS(high secondary). I am still a student pursuing my last semester and the college has provided us with an ample amount of job opportunities and internships.

Campus Life

5

The university conducts an annual fest called gardenia, it's as awesome as it sounds it has all co-curricular activities and events you name it, it is there, quiz, dance, drama, singing competition, and many more. Most of the classroom is equipped with a projector and the university provides wifi access to the students all over the campus. There are many clubs assigned to each and every aspect of co-curricular activity.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels provide 3 types of sharing single, double sharing and triple sharing, and in single sharing. The hostel provides veg and non-veg cuisine facility according to your preference. You can enroll online/book your hostel room or else you can directly come to the university and apply for hostel facilities. And the hostel fees differ according to the accommodation you choose. I have shifted outside of the hostel cause my internship hours don't work with the hostel reporting time period.

Interview Experience

3.5

There was a personal interview and only the fee payment any other means was suspended while I enrolled for the university, because I joined right at the end of the admission time period. I was confident about my decision and overlooked some obvious topics in which questions can be asked.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Placement Experience:

Most of the students after completing four years, continue to stay here to get Masters degree after one more year and pursue PhD from world renowned institutions. Very few people (<7/100) per batch will sit for campus placements and most of them will be selected with a good annual package of 30000 at an average. Some students, mostly Physocs majors can give government exams like ICRB, GATE to join ISRO and BARC as scientists
