Remarks

To get admission to FIMT college students should pass 12th with a minimum of 50% marks and the minimum age should be 17 years old. During my admission time minimum cut of were 65% for the general category. College announces counselling date and students need to visit on a particular date.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.com course is good for future. The course content of b.com help student in further study of M.com and MBA. Terms exams are based on a semester basis. Teachers take the weekly and monthly tests also so that they can check that students are studying well or not. Semester exam centre some times different from the same college and it's decided by the university. Many teachers are topper in their college. The teaching method is very good for every faculty member.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees of college are not much high so middle class families can easily afford it. For B.com course its cost around rupees 60000 per year. College provides financial assistance to many students on many different criteria. A loan facility is also provided by the bank in total tutation fees of college.

Campus Life

Diwali festival, Holi festival, College annual, College fest and many types of different cultural festivals celebrated in college by student groups and college management. Some competitions are also organised by IPU university where our college participates on regular basis. The social groups and clubs of our college are very active. Library of college gets a daily variety of newspaper and magazine on regular basis.

many reputable companies come to our college to recruit potential candidates during the placements time. companies like EY, Bain, etc. come during the placement season. even if students are not able to find on campus placements, the skills and education of university of delhi leaves students with enough credibility to find placements on their own.

Students regularly get employment through campus placements. It generally starts in the third year. Companies like Bain, Deloitte, KPMG, etc visit the college and provide students with offers. The highest package of last year was around 21 LPA and on average students get offered with 8-10 LPA.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was more my existing stream than the curriculum that made me choose this course. It doesn't give me a kickstart to my future career goals but it was the most secure and relevant one. There should be more real world exposure and teaching technique rather than the century old laid out theory practices. The frequecy of exams is somewhat suitable as per the subjects per semester.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem the placement starts. Our college have a placement cell and the recruiters are Big four firms like KPMG, delloite etc Recent data update says it is around 6.47 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs and highest went till 23 lakhs if im not wrong. Students with CGPA 7.5 and above get to sit in the placement. My plan is simple, to make money.

Delhi college with admission through illegal means (chaotic)

I Gave CUET, CLAT, and aimed for DU colleges but couldn't get past it. Admissions were already done in the IPU but spot rounds got me cleared for the college. Couldn't make it to DU colleges, firstly because of high competition resulting in high cutoffs and secondly because of the Quota system which was only meant to be there for 10-15 years I think but now seems permanent. I gave jee mains and cuet.. so by cuet I got admission in du in a b.sc course but I also filled the ipu form...then because of my uncle said b.tech is much better than b.sc but I didn't get seat in any of ipu because of my rank..my rank was around 7 lakh I go for offline counselling of ggsipu in that I got selected in FIMT for b.tech CSE ...
