Entrance Preview
At that time i took AIEEE exam for the entrance and i achieved 152 marks out of 386. I got this college out of no where as my dad filled the college form by his own and i got selected at the end.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was bit difficult but nicely handled and seperated by semester process. I always got a chance to learn different aspects in all semesters. My course also included teaching of computer subjects by which i got a chance to learn different computer languages which is still helping me to learn a lot.
Internships Opportunities
Well internships were not paid. Infact they provided post graduation where stipend were given to students who acquire 80% plus marks in academics. 8000 was the stipend given to them and same rule was applied for PHD students whose stipend was 35000 per month.
Placement Experience
Placements were not upto the mark at my time 60% were placed with average package of 2.84 per year. Companies include Infosys - 2.84, Accenture - 2.84, Cognizant - 3.2, Dell - 5.0, Google - 4.0 and plus, Syntel - 2.84, Samsung - 8.1, Oracle - 3.2 and plus, Tech Mahindra - 2.84 and Many more.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee Structure to be very true is really expensive but it was value for money. At my time it used to be 35k for tuition fees 30k for hostel per semester and 50k as yearly money for development charges, Making it a total of 1.80 lakhs per year. 1.80 for middle class people was really expensive and i found it really hard for me to handle this fee.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships well i do not know much about but ya they used to provide scholarships for poor students for sure but i do not know about the amount and criteria about this. Well loans were always available to be availed by students so that they can pay back their fees. They always used to provide bank desk at the time of admissions from which people can get the info regarding that.
Alumni/Alumna
There is no alumni network as such. Students themselves have created their own alumni network by keeping in touch with each other or by social networking sites. Senior students in college where always helpful and also the ragging point was not that much affective. Seniors always helped in guiding students in their projects, studies and final year projects as well.
Exam Structure
This was the most typical part as exams and labs were very frequent and really hard. Exams structure included three main exams they were T1, T2 and T3. T1 consisting of 15 marks, T2 - 25 , T3 - 30 and remaining 30 marks as internal given by the staff itself on basis of class evaluation and quiz. Labs included daily evaluations plus two exams as P1 and P2.
Admission
Firslty i was called for counselling through mail, then we went to Jaypee Shimla where counselling process was done and i was alloted a seat in ECE of Jaypee guna i.e JUET college. Process included cutoff marks for selection then ranking of the selected students on marks basis and after that selection was done.
Faculty
Well faculty was the shining point of this college as all the faculties were either PHD or passed out graduate or post graduate from IIT's. There interest was really keen in the subject and tried to give us as much as they could. Experience plus knowledge was something they were known for. I would say its not easy to get such kind of faculty in any college.
