Very bad campus life. Gender ratio was ok, No cultural society. No extracurricular activities ever.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel was good but the food quality was always shit. Every evening we used to go out to dhabas for some edible food. Even lizards and rodents used to be found in the food.

Alumni/Alumna

No Alumnus network. No one ever got invited for any such event. I guess even we never intend to visit the campus ever again. Its just a bad memory for me.

Things to Know about Uttaranchal University before admission.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement are quite bad as only a few companies come to our college for placement drive . Students becomes eligible for campus placement from the 3rd year onwards . Companies visited like TCS , HCL and some other not much popular companies visited but this year placement is very low . Our college also fake advertising about the placement they advertise the interships also as placements. 10 to 20 percent in BTech CSE are getting only Placement. I don't know what I will do after getting degree but currently I am doing a side by side diploma from IIT Roorkee to get some extra knowledge and skill improvement for better placements.

GEU and CSE ho hand in hand!

Placement Experience:

LTI, Polaris, Deloitte, Infosys, Oracle, Nvidia and what not are there for placements here. Even the Fintech and finance companies like the Axis Bank, Shri Ram Capital Finance and all are here. Thus, placements worth 10-50 lakhs is quite possible at GEU.

Placement Experience:

In GEU placements are like such that we don't have to bother at all. We are approached by placements cell in the 5th semester and then are trained for the whole month and then university urges us to go for internships to have the required exposure and have a CV which can impress the recruiters first hand. Thus, we get placement which median as of now is 8.5 lakhs.

GEU has the best Placements!

Placement Experience:

McKinsey, Oracle, NVIDIA, Google, TCS, Deloitte and many more come here for placements. Around 15-20 students in 2025 had placements worth over 40 lakhs and four students managed to grab placements worth 50 lakhs or more.
