Remarks

NSHM is a good college for management courses, it's also good for optometry but the fee structure is too high and another thing is college did not have its own hospital. So the student has no exposure with patients but the facilities are too good though even I would not suggest Nshm for optometry. And the reason is only that the fee structure is too high and the college did not have hospital exposure.

I have chosen this course because optometry has the right to do its individual practice. About 15 faculties are there to teach and about 120 students are there every year. All faculties have master's degrees and some also have higher qualifications. Exams are conducted as semester vise. And it's easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities were good before covid but now I will not say it is good enough. And also hospitals are not providing us any kind of stipend. Titian eye+, Lenskart, and many more companies are there to higher.

Placement Experience

By 7 semester students are start getting their placements in an average package of 5lakhs annually. In 2018 the placements are 100%. After completing my bachelor I will join for my master's degree. There were some companies who visited but I don't remember.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is no scholarship provided and the fee structure is 5 lakhs for 4 years. And there are many companies which are there to higher students and every year the placement procedure is good but due to covid from last 2 years the conditions are not good.

Campus Life

There was no annual fest conducted. But there were some departmental programs which are conducted as usual. The library facility is good. Classrooms are also good. Sports and extracurricular activities generally happen but due to covid, it's not organized now.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel's facility is too good. No issue of water, electricity, cleanness is also there overall good. Meal quality is also good compared to other places. And outside campus, there were also lots of PG and flats.

Hostel Fee: INR 18000 per year

Interview Experience

The admission process is direct no need to pass any exam. And also I have not to go through these steps. Only canceling process is there for the course and for the fee structure. Criteria for admission is a qualification in higher secondary examinations.

NSHM provides an opportunity to get enrolled in reputed hospital during the 4th year of study. The highest package provided was 4.2 LPA and the average pakage is 2.2 LPA . 100% students from last year got placement at good Multifacilities hospital and diagnostic centres,while some opted for higher studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because i have interest in these field and also it is a growing field. For those who want to take addmission in this course it will be a great choice .. the environment of brainware is very good the faculty members are very friendly and helpful. There is also a mentoring option in the university for every course there is a mentor teacher allotted of every class that helps very much the students. Talking about tha qualification of the faculties they are highly educated Some of them i know are retired professor of jadavpur university. The exam system in brainware is mostly good from the 1st sem they take power point presentation infront of class to master the public speaking.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had a nag for it. There are at least 2-3 teachers provided for every individual subject of our course. That makes the student-to-teacher ratio quite great. Teachers who take our classes are all M.Sc passed or more, and their teaching method is quite effective and easily understandable. Term exams were taken after one or two months gap, and difficulty was moderate.
