Remarks

I have not applied for many colleges because I was looking for a college nearest to my home and I was lucky that I get admission here in the second round of counselling. For admission minimum marks required in the 12th class is 45% and the minimum age should be 17 years old. Yes, there was a fixed date for the second round of counselling and it was announced by the college on their official website.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have done B.com and I choose this course because of many reasons 1. The fees are less as compared to professional course 2. This course provides good job opportunities in many fields. 3. This course provides in depth knowledge about accounting and finance. The college has an ample number of faculty and there is a limited number of students in every batch. Term exam conducted every 6 months and the exam difficulty level is moderate.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 65000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

B.com course cost me around rupees 60000 per year. This fee is only for education fees. If you are taking a transport facility or hostel facility then you need to pay extra fees for that. College does not have any fees hike policy. There is no job on campus with a stipend.

Campus Life

For commerce and management department college has a separate library which is huge and it has an excellent collection of books related to accounting and management. The classroom has a big whiteboard which is connected through a projector also. The classroom is neat and clean. The classroom is spacious also. College provides good opportunities in the field of sports and other activities also.

Students regularly get employment through campus placements. It generally starts in the third year. Companies like Bain, Deloitte, KPMG, etc visit the college and provide students with offers. The highest package of last year was around 21 LPA and on average students get offered with 8-10 LPA.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It was more my existing stream than the curriculum that made me choose this course. It doesn't give me a kickstart to my future career goals but it was the most secure and relevant one. There should be more real world exposure and teaching technique rather than the century old laid out theory practices. The frequecy of exams is somewhat suitable as per the subjects per semester.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th sem the placement starts. Our college have a placement cell and the recruiters are Big four firms like KPMG, delloite etc Recent data update says it is around 6.47 lakhs to 6.5 lakhs and highest went till 23 lakhs if im not wrong. Students with CGPA 7.5 and above get to sit in the placement. My plan is simple, to make money.

Delhi college with admission through illegal means (chaotic)

I Gave CUET, CLAT, and aimed for DU colleges but couldn't get past it. Admissions were already done in the IPU but spot rounds got me cleared for the college. Couldn't make it to DU colleges, firstly because of high competition resulting in high cutoffs and secondly because of the Quota system which was only meant to be there for 10-15 years I think but now seems permanent. I gave jee mains and cuet.. so by cuet I got admission in du in a b.sc course but I also filled the ipu form...then because of my uncle said b.tech is much better than b.sc but I didn't get seat in any of ipu because of my rank..my rank was around 7 lakh I go for offline counselling of ggsipu in that I got selected in FIMT for b.tech CSE ...
