Remarks

I wanted to pursue my career in Chemical Engineering field, but due to less marks in MHT-CET, I couldn't get LIT, Nagpur. So, I choose this college. Overall experience throughout the four years was good.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course curriculum is designed and structured in a manner to shape a student into an engineer. But, not many colleges has the perfect faculties who can do justice with the syllabus. Academics is good, not stressful. You get a lot of time to shape your skills.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Yes, we are having 8th semester as our internship semester. We can either opt for industrial internships or research internships. Many of the students got internships in small scale chemical industries. Some students applied for research internship too. I have done my final semester internship at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. The project work depends on the research interest of the guide.

Placement Experience

2

I won't say there are no campus placements, there are few companies (Adani Wilmar, Supreme Petrochem, Jubliant foodworks, etc.) who visits the campus every year. The students of final year are eligible for campus placement. The eligibility also differs according to the company's requirements. Due to COVID pandemic, the placements has faced a downfall. The highest package offered is around 4.5lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are quite low. Many of the students including me were interested in pursuing higher studies, so we prepared for the entrance exam (GATE), during the preparation college provided us with the materials and the video lectures of renowned GATE coaching institute (GATE COACH, Delhi). It was under the TEQUIP-III initiative. With ultimately benefited us. 9 of my colleagues are now persuing M.tech from IIT's (Madras, Roorkee, Gandhinagar). I am persuit my M.tech from NIT-Warangal. The support we receive from the college is very good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure is pretty decent. For open category, you have to pay full fees, which is not that expensive compared any other college. The fees is very affordable. The other categories get many scholarships, so with proper application to scholarship you can complete your 4 year degree under ?â_50000. Being, semi-autonomous college, placements are not good, but Training and Placement cell is trying there best to get in touch with the industry.

Campus Life

5

Campus is very huge, it covers almost 650 acres. In rainy season, the campus is lush green. The campus is 7-8Km from the Jalgaon railway station. Every year the college organise it's annual fest, "The Open House". Throughout the year we have various activities. The annual fest is organised in the month of February. The college has it's departmental library, which has a good number of collection of books. If you are unable to find the book you want, we have University library. It was the second largest library in Asia, when it was built. Classrooms are well-equipped, good lighting conditions. The college is located inside the university, so we have 2-3 grounds, swimming pool, 2-basketball court. And Indoor sports complex too, which has facilities of badminton, table tennis and many more sports.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel is the best part, it is the most affordable, it just cost ?â_2700/year. And the hostels are clean and are well maintained. There are 3 hostels for boys and 6 hostels for girls. Hostels are totally worth the money.

Admission

No, the admission is purely based on MHT-CET exam and the college is allotted according to the rank or marks you score in the examination. No further test are taken for admission.

Campus placements typically begin in the 5th or 6th semester, depending on the college's policy, with eligibility requirements like a minimum GPA. Companies like motilal , toothsii, and various startups often visit for recruitment. The number of offers made varies by college and course, with 30-40 companies visiting for a batch of 100 students.

The curriculum is somehow outdated I guess , they should change the curriculum it's my request as we are in 21st century and still the old syllabus is being taught , The problem is with the exam cgpa rule Seriously if I see them the curriculum is just for below basic level , the remaining amount has to be done ourselves with extra efforts of you want to grab higher Less theoretical more practical is my suggestion Difficulty is quite normal ...
